I've seen the hassle-free commercials, but I wanted to know if they were too good to be true.

By sum1, I mean someone. I had to shorten it because I didn't have enough characters to work with.

My bride and I are in the market for a new vehicle. We would like something with 3 rows of seating and preferably either

(1) 4 bucket seats with a bench in the 3rd row

OR

(2) 2 buckets and 2nd and 3rd row benches WITH EASY ACCESS TO THE THIRD ROW.

Basically, we'd like the ability to move freely from the front row to the second row and possibly the third row. We don't want to have to climb over ANY part of a second row seat to get to the third row. We looked at the Honda Pilot and climbing into the 3rd row is a major pain in the ars. One other criteria, the wife says, NO VANS. So, what are our options?

I've heard a lot of bad things about Fords (like Fix Or Repair Daily or Found on Road Dead), but looking on AutoTrader, I found a 1998 Ford Contour SE that has a lot of the things I want.

It's in my price range, good mileage, fair condition (it's from a sort of dealership and certified), has a shoulder-lap seatbelt for the middle seat and since my sister's kids ride with me a lot, this is good. Moonroof, etc.

And it's in my price range. As in, I can pay for the whole thing up front.
I haven't test drove it yet, and that would be the determining factor, but should I go investigate it further or steer clear? I have my family's safety to concider and I also have to, absolutely HAVE TO have a dependable car, because so many people depend on me.

So, should I go for it?

I am looking for a car and instead of buying a used car at an used car dealership, I would like to get the most bang for my buck by buying at an auction. I understand that some will only allow dealers to come. How can I get into these auctions and where about would these be located? Please help me, I tried looking at other answers on the websites but any in my area?

I thought I could make my payment and the repo fee and get the car back. Can they make me the balance on the car if it's a tote the note? I only owe $1200.00 to have it paid off. We had a verbal agreement to pay an $11 late fee via mail and the payment that was due this Friday 4/6. I mailed the late fee and they picked my car up this morning. They said they didn't receive the late fee in a timely manner and would have to review my file and let me know what I can do sometime tomorrow?

now, I may sound spoiled or ungrateful, but my sister gets whatever she wants, anyways I would like to have an American car, cause I really do not like Honda, Toyota anything that is foreign. To me they look like toys and that can break real easily. My sister has an envoy and she had ask my dad can she get it and he said no so she talked about it all the time and complained about too, so he brought it for her and I said that’s not fair cause what ever I want I can't get it, but I understand that I am 16 but still. He brought it for her and she has a job, so right now her old 2003 grand prix is sitting in the backyard, it was nothing wrong with it, I ask my dad can I have it cause its just sitting here he said no, so plz tell me what’s a good car for me?

What would be a good cash car to buy if you have about $4000, and you want something luxurious? I've head that Lexus LS400 runs good even after many many miles. I've also seen some nice 90's Cadillacs with low miles. Any ideas?

We recently bought a vehicle and the finance person said the life and gap insurance was mandatory. I asked him 3x (and complained about it in his office) and he said it was not optional.

We just found out from the loan company that it was optional. We called the finance guy back and he said, "Oh, well our contact said it would be good to get and I just do what they say" and "I didn't think it would be a big deal but we can cancel it"

He's gonna have the papers ready tomorrow for us to cancel it. What should we do? Should we tell his boss? He flat out lied to us. I know car salesmen play games with numbers and all but this was over the top for me.

Hey, they are just as hard workers as we all are.
Customer are a bunch of liars too.
"I'm just looking"
When they have the ad in their hands
"this is my first dealership"
Kids with balloons, food, and cards from other dealership.
"I'm not buying today"
Pink slip in their shirt pockets.
"They are giving me $ 10,000.00 discount in another dealership"
Why didn't he buy it?
Sounds familiar?

I want to buy a 2002 Chevy Blazer ZR-2 with 68,000 miles, the dealer is offering $9995 including a 60-day "full warranty". Wondering how much I should estimate the warranty to be worth.

I sold my 10 year old Rover last weekend, 5 hours later she rang me to say the car had broken down and was going into a garage, but they thought it was the head gasket that had blown.

After a week I hadnt heard from her and then out of the blue over the weekend, I get a call saying her friend replaced the head gasket and now the engine has completely had it. She then went on to say she wanted her money back, I told her no because I cant be held responsible for something that she could have done by driving it and also it was my belief that a head gasket could go at anytime and could even have caused the engine damage.

She didnt get anyone to check over it when she bought it and the car was driving fine, it had had an MOT the week before and had never broken down since we've had it (from new, it was kept in the family). The only problem was with one of the windows, which I told her about.

Anyway now i'm wondering what rights I have? As she is threatening legal action.
