I bought the car in texas now im trying to get in transfered in wv into my name. the problem is i bought it from guy #2 in texas which #2 bought it from #1. #2 didnt get the title transfered to his name, but sold it to me on the day i left texas to wv. Guy #1 and #2 are in the military which is making it very difficult to contact them. I cant get the title transferred unless #2 pays for the title then re signs it or # 1 gets another title and puts his and my name on the title. Now is there anyway to go around contacting them and still getting the title transferred into my name in WV. Also the title on the car is from TX.

I’m interested in trying to find a vehicle like mine, but wrecked with a good engine and transmission and any other parts I can salvage to keep mine alive for a few more years . I would like to know in general how to search and bid on wrecked vehicles that have been totaled by insurance companies and are now up for bid. This would be kind of like what a wrecking yard must do to purchase vehicles for parts resale, or a used car dealer that would in turn repair the vehicle and resell with salvage title. Any leads on where to start would be appreciated

I have a 2001 Toyota Camry CE and I'm moving to LA and want a convertible. What could I get for a good price that won't fall apart on me? I'm not sporty but I would like to enjoy the sun and openness of a convertible. I'm not into spoilers and custom body parts or anything like that. I thought about a Honda Del Sol but I feel like whatever goes wrong with it I won't be able to find a part for it or something like that. It seems too good to be what I want. It's cheap, convertible, small, looks good... I also don't want something that's a target for thieves that's why I want to sell my Camry!!!

I am 16, looking for the insurance not to be huge (4.0 student), don't want to pay more than max $150 a month, good on gas, reliable, nice size[not a truck or minivan, etc...], automatic, doesn't have to be new but in good shape

Basically just a good, inexpensive, reliable first car
Any tips for looking, an idea on a model, any help would be great!

My daughter has been driving for a few years now and is a very good driver. She handles herself well in town, Chicago toll roads, long trips on interstate, etc. We have no concerns with her driving her 3 younger siblings around. We are at a point where she really needs her own car. She works part time is able to help each month with the cost of a car and insurance (she can help with $150- $200 a month) We like the size, safety factors, and MPG ratings of the 07' Volkswagon Jettas ($20,000). The Jettas seem to hold their value. We are torn between a new one for her (pts. being: lower interest rate, we know how car will be cared for from the start, full warranty, car will carry her thru college and first job) OR a used car with low mileage and a little warranty left on it (how do I know previous owner has taken care of car/is honest about it). The used Jettas that are 2 & 3 yrs. old still sell for at least $15,000.00 & have a higher interest rate. Help me think this thru, NEW/OLD?

Hi,

I'm residing in Singapore, and needs some advice on the resale value of cars in S'pore. Normally, the resale value of a car that is 5years or more can be calculated easily from it's remaining paper value (scrap value). But, how to know for a relatively new one that is just 1 to 3 years old? Surely it is more than the paper value, but how much more? I'm talking about a Jap car, 1.5L. Any advice... Thanks!

Has anyone ever been in this exprience to help me through this process or give me a site to go to that would be very very helpful. Thank you for your time in advance. Nine months after selling a car, the buyer wants repairs for an issue that was found 4 months before we even sold the car. We gave him all records, the name of the service center where all work was done and he didn't want to take it to a mechanic. He provided his OWN bill of "as is " sale. Now it's going to court and costing me an arm and a leg! What constitutes Fraud - he says we didn't tell him and now he wants us to pay.
Help...this potential nightmare is driving me nuts!!!

i'm selling it to a private party, i.e., a complete stranger who answered the ad i placed. in cases like this, what is the best way to accept payment? asking the buyer to pay $10000 in cash seems a bit implausible, but i'm afraid that if i took a check and it then bounced, whoever "bought" the car would be long gone. how should i go about this?
