I'd go with Fred on this one.
Cherry,
I hate to tell you this, but $30K to $50K is really squat, and you said 'potential' which means you haven't gotten there yet.
You should have stuck with math.

First put it in slope-intercept form.
y=mx+b
2x-9y-45=0
add 45 to each side
2x-9y=45
subtract 2x from each side
-9y=-2x+45
divide each side by -9
y=-2/9x - 5
y intercept is always b in the slope-intercept formula [y=mx+b]
for x intercept you substitute y with 0 and solve for x.
the slope is m in the equation y=mx+b

Solve for Y.
9y=2x-45
y=2/9x-5 (standard form)
y=mx+b(standard form) where m is the slope
The slope is 2/9

You isolate Y to one side.
Then the Y intercept is just whatever Y equal to when x is set to zero.
X-intercept is whatever it equals to when Y is set to zero. This means that you have to isolate X to 1 side.
the slope is in the form of Y=mx +b, that means that whatever number is is sticking to X after you set Y by itself is your slope.

isolate the y. the slope is the number..that's next to x
erm...yintercepts...set x = 0
opposite for x-intercept

I moved on, almost flunked h.s., then majored in history in college.
Now I'm in sales and have the potential to make $30,000 to $50,000 per year.
Print this off, and give it to your teacher. Tell her that math is overrated as long as you can cater to other's needs that have the money to pay you. Cause in a way, we are ALL in sales, even she is.

I'm sorry. Unless your question can be answered in dollars or miles per gallon, you posted it in the wrong place.
Still, for a car question area, you've gotten some pretty good answers.

okay i think you have to first solve for X, since its set to 0. and then you have to plug in the X and solve for Y. idk if that made since but yea lol i hoped i helped :D like this........
2(X)-9(0)=0
and then you do the same thing but you dont plug in zero. idk.
