Don't feel guilty. Just take the car your parents are getting you and work and then save up enough money to get yourself the Truck. It will be a lot more rewarding that way. Plus, Trucks use A LOT of gas that I'm not sure a 16 year old can handle.

Take the damn car! You can always keep it for a year and then trade it in for the truck that you want. (Use it as down payment).
You're lucky you won't have to deal with car payments at 16. Just be glad you're grandparents love you that much to give you a free car.
Have fun and good luck in deciding!

Take the car because it gives you something to drive until you are able to buy your self and truck. Listen, my father, my mom's ex-husband, just gave me a pick-up truck. Well, I hate it because I always wanted a sports car but you take what you can get. I decided to live with it 4 awhile! I would take the car until you can do better! (secrect* my truck is going to be up 4 sale this summer!)

Take the free car! Get a job and save your $ for your truck. You'll appreciate it more. And you're right, not many kids at 16 get a free car! Don't be stupid.

Don't feel guilty! Accept the car politely, use it, and save your money for a pick up truck!

as long as you appreciate the car, you do not need to feel guilty about wanting a truck. it will be nice for you to have something to drive (for free) while you are saving up for a pick up.

You're getting a free car, count the blessing and enjoy the car.
You're sixteen, you have lots of time to get the truck, so don't worry about it so much just yet.

Just ask grandma and grandpa if you or they can sell the car so you can get a truck instead. Explain to them how you appreciate their gift, but a truck would really fit your lifestyle better.

No reason to feel guilty. Have you mentioned this to your grandparents? Maybe you could find a solution where everyone is happy. I got a free car from my grandparents, too Thing was a rustbucket junker. It wouldn't even pass inspection.

Yes you should feel guilty! Don't be ungrateful! Maybe you could very nicely ask them if they mind if you trade it in to buy a pickup but if they don't go for it, take their very generous gift and be happy with it! You're a lucky guy to be getting a car. I think a of kids your age would be overjoyed to have your "problem" :)
