I have a 2001 Toyota Camry CE and I'm moving to LA and want a convertible. What could I get for a good price that won't fall apart on me? I'm not sporty but I would like to enjoy the sun and openness of a convertible. I'm not into spoilers and custom body parts or anything like that. I thought about a Honda Del Sol but I feel like whatever goes wrong with it I won't be able to find a part for it or something like that. It seems too good to be what I want. It's cheap, convertible, small, looks good... I also don't want something that's a target for thieves that's why I want to sell my Camry!!!

Miata! I have 2 one is a Speedmiata ( That wont be under 8k) but my other one has 135k miles and it has been incredible! It is my everyday driver! I live in Tx and the heat and humidity tends to destroy cars especially VW (Used to work for them mucho problems in the hot states great in the cooler states expensive with high miles!) Mazda's are mechanically simple not alot of frills and run forever

used Miata if you want a sports car. Used mustang (not the GT), used VW. Look around and see what you like and can afford. Insurance is usually higher on a convertible, if that makes a difference.

Try an umbrella. Great mileage, low maintenance and a low target for thieves.
