1971 Buick Skylark, custom ordered by my dad and given to me 3 months before my high school graduation. I was very fortunate to have had a dad who could afford such a gift. I've never taken his generosity for granted.

My first car was a 1932 Chevrolet 2dr sedan I bought for $50 in 1946 at age 15 but did not drive until I was 17. The car had rolled over and my brother (14) and I proceeded to cut and remove the top down to the belt line and make a 2dr bucket roadster with an orange body and black fenders.

My first car was a 1981 Camaro
my grandfather left me some $ for college and most of it went to this car. I think i was 18 years old.
My dad begged me to get a economical 4 cylinder car but i had my heart set on the Camaro. and still wish i had kept it.
although with the cost of gas these day i don't think i could afford it.

I bought my first car last July. I was 24 and paid for it by myself. I bought a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. My parents always wanted to buy me a car but never were able to, but were really proud of me when I was finally able to do it on my own. I appreciate it more too.

metallic blue, 69 Camaro. vvvvrrroooooommmm. Way cool. Loved that baby. My dad took a loan from his credit union but it was up to me to pay it back. No problem. Back then it was $10 a month. Too funny. I was 18. I also paid for my car insurance. I was on my folks policy but it was my responsibility to pay the addition. I also paid for the upkeep and the gas. That's the way it should be.

My dad bought me a 1984 Chevy Cavalier (yellow with light tan interior w/tan pinstriping down the side.
I was desperate for some wheels (I was 16). Even though it was quite an ugly car. When I drove it around, it was alright but girls weren't impressed. Oh well!
