I love cars like Camro's,Mustangs,Chargers, but i need something that would last, something with speed, something that looks good, rides good. Keep in mind i'll be buying a used car. I'm planning on buying a Saturn Vue in the next few weeks...
(please don't try to pressure me into getting another car, I've done research and this car is the best for me)

I have 2 choices:

a 2003 with 32,135 miles - FWD - V6 for $12,900 and the dealership will throw in a 5 year/100,000mi warranty for $2,000 plus free oil changes, wiper blades and inspections for 2 years

or a 2006 with 29,343mi - 4 cyl. - FWD for $13,895

the 2003 seems like a good bet with the extended warranty, but I'd like some extra input

We're getting a 2004 Prius (the hybrid), and this is what we have currently..one that will be traded in:

2002 Cavalier (59,000 miles, still owe $2200 on it). Was in an accident in 2005 that required nearly $6000 in damages (not our fault). Not entirely comfortable..possibly some frame damage occured. Can get over $3000 for it.

2001 Venture (110,000 miles, paid off). No accidents, just needs regular tuneups. Can probably get over $6000 for it.

I'll note that personally , we feel more comfortable in the venture than the cavalier..due to the accident.

The hybrid we want to buy is a 2004 Prius with 30k miles and around 17k.

1994 chevrolet silverado, inside has original interior, original radio works, has a/c, origanal cassete player works, needs a paint job, runs good and has 160,000 miles. If you have a good website were you can find out the average going price, I would apreciate it.

I bought a car from a private party. Call me stupid but I just got in a accident and needed a car fast because my job involves alot of driving. Well i ought the car for 3,000 and the repairs are major totalling a little more than 3,000 we are talking Strut ,power steering, timing belt, water pump and allignment, and god knows what else. You can't even drive the car it shakes so bad and when you stop good luck. So needless to say i cannot even drive the thing. The owner I am now finding out he buys salvaged cars and fixes them up and sells them well he has sold more than he should without a liscence to sell, and he never told me when i bought the car that it had been restored cause it was salvage which makes me mad i would have never bought the car now knowing what i know, which is probably why the car drives like it does and has as many problems as it does. any one with advice i have tried to get my money back and his attitude is tuff you bought it you got screwed that is your problem.

I am looking at getting a Ford Explorer or Mercury Mountaineer 5.0 4x4 for my first car for around $5,000 with around 100k miles. I have been in them and they feel like a comfortable car, and they have plenty of storage room in the back. The acceleration is great, along with the roar of the engine. Once I buy it, I would maybe put an exhaust and a new sound system in. Does this sound alright, and what do you think about it? Don't try to talk me into getting some Japanese car that gets 100mpg, because I love American cars and engines, or that getting the v6 is better mileage, because its only like one mpg.

I will not say which car specifically to prevent biased answers. I'm a single male, 22 years old. I am looking at paying about $17.5k ($18.5 after taxes, etc.). I will be getting a loan, putting $5k down and financing the rest. My payments will be about $320/month (7.5%, 48mos.). I bring in $1900/month after taxes (+$200 in supplemental income some months). After everything is said and done (factoring in rent, insurance, utilities, gas, groceries, etc.), I'll have anywhere from $500-800 saved each month.

Can I afford this car? Thanks!

Hello, without thinking I applied for an auto loan (through Drivetime) and was approved. However I would not like to buy a car for about 5 months. How long is the offer valid for if my circumstances/income/credit doesn't change?

Will I need to reapply and if yes, will the fact that it's a reapplication hurt my chances of being approved? Thanks.

Well, Ill be getting my license in a month, My parents are going to buy me a new vehicle, I want a car, my parents want me to get some sort of Truck/SUV. I am looking for something in between a car and an SUV/Truck that looks decent. I have been searching for a few days now, I fell in love with the Scion tC; I doubt I will be able to get that though unless I can talk my parents into it but I seriously doubt I will be able too.

Any help would be great ^_^
