Why not? All they can do with it is see if its got a history of wrecks or being totalled, they can't use it for anything else. So yeah it should b fine, I know alot of people who give them out so the customer can research the history or w/e if any exists on the car b/4 they buy.

Can't do any harm. It is displayed on the dash in the lower corner of the windshield on the driver's side for all the public to see. The potential buyer just wants to check out its history.

Yes, why not? They probably want to run a check on the car, before approaching you about a sale. If they call the DMV, they will not receive personal info, only data regarding the car, so if that was your worry, forget about it.

Cheaking see If vin number match the car you are saling.
make year & modle.

No. With all the falsifying of personal information these days I would not recommend it. You don't know this person at all. Don't take any chances.
