i was buying a motorcycle from a friend and he repoed it. we agreed verbally to a price of 2450 and i paid 1900 down and was making payments(on time) and he repoed and said i hadn't been paying.i live in va he has moved to fla. that is where the bike is now. i offered to pay it off he said he would just keep and the deal was done. is there anything i can do about without a written contract? can he keep it? what can i do to get it back having paid so much on it?

My car has been in repo status for the last 8 months and now there is a private investigator (alleged) calling me threatening to put me in jail. Is this true? Can I go to jail? I don't want the car because it is a lemon, but I need it for a lttle while longer. I have a baby and no one to help me in getting back and forth. Please help with any advice or suggestions because the car is not worth going to jail for!

i bought a used car from a dealership, and yes the car had some problems, not with the engine or anything but parts were missing. i brought it back to them to have everything fixed. it was there for 3 days and nobody called to inform me about my car. 5 days later they said it was waiting to be picked up, so i go to pick it up and NOTHING was fixed. they keep saying parts were ordered and it was being fixed, but everytime i ask, they say the parts are gonna take another week to get in. they have had my car for 10 days now, is it legal for a car dealership to keep your car over a certain period of time?

I'm looking for an affordable SUV that has V6 and is not too big. Research and expert reviews have led me to these three as my top choices. I'm about to graduate from grad school and get a job, this would be my first SUV and the first car that I bought for myself. I just want something with good cargo space, nice acceleration and handling, and decent milage (at least 20/26 mpg). Any opinions?

I went and looked at cars. They pulled my credit report and said I did not qualify for the "special" of the month $2000 down, $299/month x 39 month lease...BUT I did qualify for $2000 down, $560 / month x 72 month purchase!!!! Ok...already know that is CRAZY!!! BUT here is another thing that I just learned...this dealer submitted an application for credit (don't know how much) without my consent...didn't even have a car picked out!! Signed only that they could look at my credit score. I got a denial letter for credit in the mail!! I have no idea what they asked for...how much...what terms etc... I actually walked out of the dealership. What is this all about? Is it normal? Legal?? I am so frustrated with this dealer!!

It's Sunday and I'm reading another new car ad >>>> "BUY IT FOR $9,999.00 >>> and then, in the fine print ... along with listing all the rebates it adds, " with $5000 down, cash or trade.

Ok, so thecar may be as low as $14,999. Now .... why don'tyou just list it for $1 and in fine print say that's with $14,998 down ???

Wouldn't that be even more appealing ? I wonder how a car salesmn would feel if he saw a washing machine advertised at $500 and when he went to buy it learned that ..... that was with $550 down ?? Or an ad ..... buy this house for $200,000. ----- fine print >> with $100,000 down ??

Why do car dealers get to advertise with greatly misleading large print ads ? Do they hav different standards ??

hello i was selling a car on ebay and had a numerous amount of bids and interest, when the bidding ended, i requested £300 deposit from the winning bidder to secure the car. the winner accepted and paid through paypal, the winner was suppose to collect within 3 days but due to weather didnt and i held onto the car for a further 2 weeks, declining all other buyers as the car was "sold".
the winner came to pick up the car and has said that there not happy with there purchase and request there money back.
this was a private auction, i informed the winner about everything i knew and there was pictures to prove. the winner is now saying we didnt inform them of a small dent and is giving me one week to pay back the deposit, otherwise there going to start legal action. there was pictures to prove this.do i have to pay the deposit back???

k, im looking to fix up a car for the first time. I want to to a little sporty. I don't want to spend more than 2500 on the car before fix up. and max i will ever spend on engine work is 4500 bucks. this is mostly for the experience of fixing up a car but also want to make it worth it. A little power would be nice to:) I want a car that looks cool but the demand isnt high and i can get parts for too. I got a 96 dodge neon i can fix up but it doesn't have power worth squat. and I got a 93 dodge shadow that only has 41 thousand miles on it i can fix up. whats a good car to fix up???

I sell cars sometime it suck these bad months are bad my boss scearms sell more cars Not that many people hit the lot and besides i sell KIA the cars are great but poeple dont have the faith in them yet so we end up giving them away really under invoice which makes my commision small if you buy a car whats you chioce Kia, ford, chevy,toyota,caddlic,honda,bmw,etc inned to know because im thinking about switching car brands or jobs?????
