Hello. I have a 1996 Black Toyota 4runner SR5. It has 144,200 miles. But this is a very good automobile!
It has never been in a wreck, has no cosmetic problems, has had regular maintenance, some new parts and it's fully loaded. It even has a viper security system. I would love to start negotiations at $9,500. I paid $16,000 for this truck! Do you think that this is fair? I had it appraised at Carmax and they said it was in excellent shape. But the man tried to give me $2,000. He tried to take advantage of me!!
Seriously, what do you think is a fair price to sell this truck for? I should charge more with all the extras, right?
Please help, I've never sold a car before and I don't want to be taken advantage of because I'm a female!!!!

My son who just came over here(USA) wanted to buy a new car.
His credit history still poor. I decided to be a guarantor or co-signer just to help him get started with his new life here.(I've been there).
We wanted to wait for a incentive(special financing/incentive) offered by the dealers. Will the credit history be based on the primary applicant(son) or will it be based on my credit history?

I would like to track down a 1983 vehicle that I used to own (back in 83). Carfax only goes back to 1986.

Chances are this vehicle is no longer "alive" (so to speak) but I am trying to find out alternate ways to find out this information since Carfax can't help due to its age.

Any suggestions as to where, or how to look?
