Trying to buy an used-car from private party. I just don't want to get ripped off, and I've never bought a car before. I want to get familiar with the registration system and to know what forms to obtain from the owner. Thanks!

I live in Canada (Toronto) and face some pretty sh!tty weather Dec-Feb (snow squalls, black ice, freezing rain, etc etc).
I'm the market for a new (or almost new) vehicle, but want to learn how to drive stick. Given the weather conditions and my student budget, which make/model should I consider as far as a good stick shift car goes?

I found a car at a reputable dealer that was wrongly priced on their website inventory. Does the dealer have to sell me the car at advertised price ? Do I have the right to demand that he sell it to me ? And would I have any legal recourse ?

hai dudes & Girls. i intend buy a secondhand car, preferably 4 door(2 door will also do) , slightly sportlooking, and have a budget of $3000 CAD. ($2600 us). Should i go for a ford or GM (american cars) or should i go for Japanis cars(toyota and honda). I heard that japanis cars and more fulel efficient and parts are easily avilable. But i also hard that american cars are stronger and last long. Please give me your opinion. And lets just say one more think if i had the money i would have bought the Mustand GT. Now you know what type of cars i like. So what car you think i sould go for (plese give the car name too)?

I'm not very automobile intelligent, if you will. I need to know major car dealerships because as of right now I only know three. Also, I'm looking for a sports sedan (a NICE, good looking car) up to $30,000.

What are the major car dealerships in america?
And, Do you know any types of cars that you think would be good?

My GF is getting a car from her parents but she has a car she is making payments for to a bank who has the title. She doesn't want to sell it a dealer or carmax. She wants to sell it by owner but she doesn't have the title (since the bank has it). Can she still sell it by FSBO even though she does not have the title? A detailed answer would be greatly appreciated by a thumbs up.
Thanks.

2007
Toyota Yaris

2007
Honda Fit

2007

Hyundai Accent

They are all big gas saver.
I plan on keeping this car for about 4 years. I drive mostly city and just for going to school and work everyday (meaning no excessive travailing) I just really want a basic car that gets me to places.
My biggest concern is reliability.
second is the price,(include maintaining cost and gas money)

I've heard that renting out a car would be a better choice than buying a new one and cheap too.

I am in my mid-twenties and I am looking for a nice, affordable car that will get good gas mileage and is reliable over long distances. I would like it to be somewhat attractive also, but that is not my main concern. I am looking for something between $7,000 and $10,000.

Any ideas?

I'm really just looking for something to get me around with school and work nothing special, something cheap. I've had my eye on a 99 pontiac grand am, with about 114,000 miles @ about $5,000. Would this be ok just to get me around for a few years or not.

Hi, I just sold my car today for $4,500, but I would like to give my mother money too because she helped me buy the car too for $4,000. We both put in $2,000, how much you think I should give her back? Plus, she said it was part of my graduation gift. Should give her the full amount she gave me or what?

I'm currently in the market for a used car and I've seen a couple that look like fair deals, but they list that they have rebuilt engines. I was wondering if that could be a red-flag for anything, for instance the mileage that they advertise is simply the mileage "for that engine" etc.
