LUXURY SPORTS CAR TO ME MEANS ITS MERCEDES SL NOT A CHEVY CORVETTE... CADILLAC HAS THE XLR WITH A 320HP V-8 NORTHSTAR OR THE XLR-V WITH 440HP SUPERCHARGED V-8 WITH 6 SPEED AUTO ALL ON A CORVETTE CHASSIS. MERCEDES BENZ SL WILL ONLY BE HAD FOR THAT PRICE-- USED. PORSCHE CAYMAN IS A TRUE SPORTS CAR WITH ALOT OF AMENITIES THAT DRIVE THE PRICE REAL QUICK.. ITS POWERED BY 295HP FLAT SIX. THE BOXSTER IS ABOUT THE SAME BUT IS CONVERTIBLE. THE NEW JAGUAR XK WILL JUST GET UNDER 80K. IT HAS 300HP 4.2 LTR V-8 AND GREAT LOOKING. YOU MIGHT ALSO LOOK AT LAST GENERATION XK PARTICULARLY THE SUPERCHARGED XKR. LEXUS HAS THE SC430 --- HAS VERY LITTLE USEFULNESS . YOU MIGHT LOOK AT THE BMW 650--IT WILL MOST LIKELY BE USED. YOU CAN ALSO LOOK AT THE BMW Z-4 M COUPE . MERCEDES HAS THE SLK AND SLK55 AMG, GREAT CAR BUT DON'T CARE MUCH FOR THE LOOKS OF THE CAR. THE ONLY TRUE LUXURY SPORT CARS ARE GOING TO COST MORE THAN 80K . THESE INCLUDE CAD XLR-V . PORSCHE 911, THE M6, MERCEDES SL65 AMG. I DID'NT PUT THE CORVETTE IN THERE I DON'T CONSIDER IT LUXURY--SOME MIGHT DISAGREE.

If you want to "feel the road" go BMW. I would suggest M5, but that is a little over the 80K budget you mentioned. Any high end 5 or 6 series should do the trick.

If you want creature comforts, go Japanese, specifically Lexus. You can't go wrong with the LS 460, and you should also consider the GS Hybrid. Try not to get the backup sensor if you're going to get the camera anyway. It will just put these "dots" on your rear bumper.

Mercedes kinda lost their "luxury" feel when they started selling the C-Coupe, but that is just an opinion on my part, so others will surely disagree.

Good luck!

A Evo 8 would cost you alot less then 80,000 is a fairly nice car and one that can eat Lamborghini's off the track if your looking for performance as the most important part but if you want luxury try the new Cadillac sports car i know its not known for being a sports car but i have seen them blow the new mustang gt's clean off the road and its a caddy so you know its like sitting in a lazy-boy while your speeding down the road
