I'm anti-svu, but need a bigger car. Which one is safer and more reliable?

Consumer Reports evaluates the TOYOTA higher than Subaru. Also TOYOTA has a tendency to maintain a higher resale value.
BUT... maintenance and repairs will be high on both vehicles. Toyota will be a little more expensive.

I dont know much about the Subaru but i just bought the new Rav4 3 weeks ago and i love it., I did a lot of research before i bought and found that Toyota, Honda and Nissan are the best and most reliable. I got the standard model , i didnt feel that the sport option was necessary for me but i did go for the V6 (which i would definitely recommend) and a sunroof is nice. It gets great gas mileage (unless you run the AC).

Subaru hands down. Reknown for their offroad abilities thru many races. More space and simply satisfied users.
Toyota is a great carmaker, but the Rav4 is smaller than the Forester. Look-wise, I prefer Toyota.
Subaru is less expensive I believe.

Apples or Oranges. They both have excellent quality and reliability. The Toyota tends to have a better dealer network, while the Subaru is well known for rugged durability. If it is primarily a styling issue, then let your heart be your guide.

no clue about subaru. but all north american rav4s come out of an assembly plant in woodstock ontario canada. awd might prevent you from getting stuck in snow. but it won't help you manuver in snow or stop any quicker. only snow tires can do that.

Subarus are very safe and reliable. Go with the forester.

Subarus are UGLY and have horrible resale value.
Rav-4 or CR-V are far better choices.

if i were u get a BMW i have the M3 but ne ways subaru's suck butt, n its a democrat car EW but the toyota rav4 is nice go with the toyota
