I'm not very automobile intelligent, if you will. I need to know major car dealerships because as of right now I only know three. Also, I'm looking for a sports sedan (a NICE, good looking car) up to $30,000.

What are the major car dealerships in america?
And, Do you know any types of cars that you think would be good?

ok there are a couple major US dealer groups but you usually do better to go with a major local dealer. and while toyotas do run forever they have had more recalls than cars sold for the last three years running. their initial quality report over the last three years is in the toilet. if you are looking for true driving enjoyment for a good price with a lot of power good handling and not to harsh on insurance, then check out the mitsubishi Galant ralliart, the nissan maxima, or altima SER, the ford fusion v6 AWD (i know how crazy that sounds) the pontiac grand prix has a long tradition of sports tuning and driving pleasure. lexus bmw mercedez and the like are fun to drive and all but they are also really pricey. you can get all that you want with the other choices. mitsubishi has the best warranty and the most aftermarket parts. the mazdaspeed 6 has a turbo and that makes most insurances freak out. honda really doesnt have an entry into this market. not a true entry any way. i do not know much about the suburu so i cannot recommend them or recommend against them.

lastly i say that it is better to use local dealer groups because they need your business to come back again and again the few national dealer groups do not so they do not work as hard for you.

Major car dealerships in america? Car dealerships are local or regional franchise businesses.

There are good deals to be had on the Mazdaspeed 6.

Also you can get a Subaru Legacy GT under 30k.

You don't seem the sort who would care if their car were front wheel drive, so there's also the Acura TSX.

I think you MIGHT be able to get a Dodge Charger R/T under 30k.

You could get a good late-model BMW for 30k.

Car dealers depend on what brand you want.

For someone who knows absolutely nothing about cars, try Toyota or Lexus. They have great service. And their cars run forever. Anyway Lexus IS should cost around $30k.
