I'm going to be getting my first car soon. I want something that is able to handle being out in the mud and dirt in the country almost everyday... do anyone have any ideas of nice cars or trucks that would be a good vehicle to have? Also... I want something between to years of 2004 and 2007, it doesn't matter how much it costs.... Thanks!

I will be using this vehicle to haul things like wood and hay and feed, because I live on a farm and I also go out and help my dad build houses and I go hunting quite a bit, so I need something that will be able to not get stuck in thick grass and dirt and mud. What can I say! I'm a Minnesotan! We're always gettin dirty! haha

If you need to haul hay and dirt and help build houses then you need a pickup truck, there is no way to haul dirt or hay in an SUV or wagon without making a huge mess inside and having an awful time getting the dirt/hay in and out. So forget about all the suv suggestions, they are a waste of monye anyway for what you get. Cars will never be able to haul stuff anyway and will get stuck on any mud or snow that is not packed down or flattened.
If you will be going in the mud so much and don't want to ever get stuck then get 4wd with a low range and get some mud tires like dunlop radial mud rovers.
Based on those criteria there are many many choices out there that have similar optioins in some cases. See what manufacturers are offering good deals on financing when you get ready to buy or what used trucks you can find with low miles (you get the best value on used cars and the most life out if them if buys ones with less than 20K miles) in many cases the warranty is transferrable - meaning the warranty tranfers to new owners of the vehicle. Plus, most of the depreciation occurs as in the first few thousand miles.
Personally, I would never buy anything except a Ford truck, My Ford Ranger went 165K miles before I traded. I never had any problems just replaced fluids and belts on schedule.

Well you are easy. First you never said if you were going to take the vehicle off road? If you live out in farm country and need to take a dirt road every once in a while than you should think about a 4X4 or ALL WHEEL DRIVE. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4X4 with the right tires it will go through almost anything. You need to be more clear when asking a question. As I don't know if you plan on hauling anything heavy. If so you would need a truck. There are a lot of different trucks to chews from. If not you can get away with a Subaru or something that size. I hope that isn't confusing? I put a real meaty tires on my Dodge that are 10 Ply. They are good in snow or mud plus the road. I carry some heavy weight and the 10 Ply tires hold up under the weight. A good Mud & Snow Tire is the most important thing when it comes to 4X4 or All Wheel Drive. You have a whole lot of choices from jeep to Hummer to pick from to include Toyota, Subaru etc. The thing is you are a young driver and the most important thing should be size. The smaller a vehicle the easer it is to learn to handle. As a Teen you don't have the 40 + years ( with two yrs race car driver) that I have. You need to learn what a vehicle will and will not do for you. SAFETY FIRST!!! I wish you good luck...

Today's Jeeps, in fact from 1998 on, have all thier safety issues addressed. They're just COOL.
JEEP has a brand new 4 door model now that just ROCKS! I saw one in black with some nice wheels and tires and it looks ten times better than any Hummer!
You may also want to check out the new Toyota FJ. This is another retro inspired off-roader that looks and drives awesome.
These two vehicles will get you wherever you want to go and won't go out of style, ever.

I think you should buy something safe, since your a new driver, and especially if you are planning on taking it off road into the mud, I think a truck with a row bar would be sufficent. A jeep can be dangerous if you do not drive them safely. They are capable of rolling pretty easy at least from what I heard.
