Autotrader.com does not have a section for older cars. I know e-bay but many times they are over price or total junkers.

Buying any vehicle for only $2000.00 dollars isn't a good investment for any kind of vehicle. If you must have an FJ55 Land Cruiser than I would think you could find one in the Auto Trader in your area. You can also check want adds in you local paper. You may get lucky and find one their. Also there are specialty car magazines (Like Hemmings) that my have them. You can check on line for a Land Cruiser Club finding what you want their. They are also a great place for information for parts etc. I don't know enough about Land Cruiser's but I know if your looking for a specific kind of vehicle I always look for a club first. Make sure that when you find what you want that it is worth what you are paying for it. A vehicle that needs all new brakes, a motor, etc. can cost a lot to replace those parts even if you do the labor. I have had a British car restoration shop for seven years and I can tell you it is a lot less expensive to buy a car restored than it cost to restore one...Good luck in finding what your looking for...
