Buying & Selling - February 2007

I live in Bardstown kentucky and my car has bit the dust,its not worth what itll cost to fix it.Therefore,Im without transportation,cant afford full coverage insurance on a financed auto,so Im looking for a cheap dependable auto that I can buy straight out,that way I only have to get liability insurance.Ive looked through all local papers,but either found nothing or vehicles had been sold.Can anyone help me find what Im looking for???

i got it on 2/12/07 for with 3k down but the dealer hasn't given me the car since they had to do some repairs to the car, they told me it wasn't going to take more than 24hrs to fix the following things: key opener, air bag sensors, and when fixing the sensor the car computer was locked and needed to be reset it , and replace the following: cd changer (magazine), floor mats, 2 cracked windows, two interior side panels, model letters on the outside and tires. My question is can i cancel the contract and get my deposit back or can i call the finance company to tell them what is going on so they can do something about it, i haven't had the car since i bought it two weeks ago, please serious answers only i really need help, the car is a mercedes-benz ML500.

Last nights Top Gear featured the results of the latest J D Power customer satisfaction survey. The largest indepentant survey of it's kind. This year the 6 worst cars were all French. Everone knows they are cr*p, people who buy them say they are cr*p, so how come so many of them are clogging up our roads?

I am planning to go to university of florida. I am driving a 95 honda civic it is still fine but im thinking if i keep driving it back and forth to orlando from gainesville to visit my family will eventually cause me problems.. I am thinking if i sign for a student loan for $15000 that they offer in school (perkins loans) and use the entire money to buy a toyota yaris so that i don't have to worry about car payments until i get my degree.. What do you guys think.. I want to buy a car that is $15000 or less but will last for long for college students???

I've had a lot of interest in buying a Honda Fit, but I've read reports about a hybrid version in 2008. So far, I've contacted 9 Honda dealers, but they're keeping their mouths shut. This is usually the time of the year when new car announcements, so I'm wondering if anybody has heard anything. With gas prices rising (and living in CA), the best fuel efficiency is important to me. Thanks for any help.

Ok, I am going through a divorce and have the choice to keep the car I have (of course pay for it as well) or I can let him have it and I can go purchase something else. Here is the deal, it is an '03' Camry and I love it but a month ago the battery went out and I had some friends try to jump me off and melted some wiring cause they hooked the positive to negative and visa versa so all that had to be repaired. A few days ago my check engine light came on so I thought it may be the gas cap based on what a mechanic told me so I checked that and it still didn't go off. I owe about $11,500 and payment is $380 for about 2 more years. It has 91K miles on it. I was looking at a new Toyota Corolla '07' for $14,873 excluding taxes, tags, etc. Payments would be about 290 for 5 years. I am really torn about what to do. What do you think?

Someone is willing to sell me a 1996 Chevy Cavelier with 150K for $2000. Kelley Blue Book says in excellent condition it is only worth up to $1605. But the guy says he has put $1800 in the car since he bought the vehicle from his son. He says he's repaired the struts and alternator and so on. Should I consider how much he has put into the car instead of what Kelley blue book says?

I'm going to sell cars for the first time at a Nisson dealership in Tn. Which would be a better move for me being a newbe at this. Nisson new and used dealership or Carmax? Can anyone tell me which is the better dealership with the best reputation and where a person make the most money.

That happened to me when I came into a lump sum of money. I told the man I have low income, & if it weren't for him doing that, the car would still be mine. Thanks to him intimidating & threatening me, my car is repossessed & my credit is ruined.

I said I WANT TO PAY IT OUT. He said NO. FINANCE IT SO YOU COULD GET GOOD CREDIT. I said BUT I HAVE THE CASH TO PAY IT OUT. He said LIL' GIRL IF YOU MENTION "PAY IT OUT ONE MORE TIME...!", with a mad face.

I sold a car to my nephew for $4400, initially he paid me $2000, leaving $2400 that he owed. The first month he paid me $500, therefore only having to owe $1900. It has now been one year and he has not paid anything else on the car; I am going to take the car back from him. Should I pay him something for the car, though he has never paid me anything for it since the first month, or should I just consider it a "REPO" and tell him to go pack sand?

We live in Indianapolis. We do alot of sports and go to hockey, basketball and football games alot games alot. We have 2 children. We have four cars. If we get this car will it be a hassel to maintane? Does the oddyssye have better interior then the sienna why or why not? Is it even worth to get a minivan or would an suv be better?

Im almost 17, and i want to buy my own car, im verry low on cash, my limit is around $1000, i can drive stick, and automatic is fine too, i want something thats not big, and that is a good car. oh and of course its going to be a used car.
