That happened to me when I came into a lump sum of money. I told the man I have low income, & if it weren't for him doing that, the car would still be mine. Thanks to him intimidating & threatening me, my car is repossessed & my credit is ruined.

I said I WANT TO PAY IT OUT. He said NO. FINANCE IT SO YOU COULD GET GOOD CREDIT. I said BUT I HAVE THE CASH TO PAY IT OUT. He said LIL' GIRL IF YOU MENTION "PAY IT OUT ONE MORE TIME...!", with a mad face.

no one should ever have to go through that. if i were you and someone called me little man, i'd get their name, where they work and tell someone of authority about it. he shouldnt have called you little girl and truthfully if i were his boss and i heard about that, i would have him fired so fast he wouldnt know what hit him.

Three things:
1) This guy was obviously a dick and you should not have bought from him at all.

2) Car salesman make A LOT of money on financing deals (he probably got as much on the financing kick back as he made on the price margin).

3) You either mismanaged your money or bought more car than you could afford. Again, you should take responsibility for the mistake.

That being said, you should be telling everyone you know and your state's attorney general about this person, and the dealership where he works. This guy has obviously been getting away with this kind of crap for far too long.

Honey.. take someone with you. Obviously you look like a push-over and he's taking full advantage of it!

If you're financing the car DIRECTLY from the dealership ( A "buy here pay here" place) then he wants you to finance it so they can collect more of your interest money.

If it's financed through the bank, he wouldn't care.

Seriously.. take someone with you. At the risk of sounding like a sexist pig here, I will tell you to take a male with you. Too many of these cretins do not give credence to women and think they can do anything.

Good Luck, and stick to your guns!

I would have walked out right there . Now the repo is your problem and he made his money. Call the finance company and see if they can lower your payment it may take you longer to pay but you can maybe salvage your credit rating.

Um, don't accuse him of sexual harassment as this one girl suggested, you know, since that didn't happen it would be a rather beastly thing to do.

However, I have no idea what his logic was in wanting you to finance it, it sounds like he was just plain stupid to me. I would recommend complaining to his sales manager.

Why didn't you get up and walk out, taking your wad of cash with you!!!
Call his sales manager and report him for sexual harassment immediately!
