Pontiac G6. Nicely styled, good performance and not too expensive.

Well I am planning to by a car at the end of the year because from what I understand that is the best time to buy a car because they need to get everything off the lot period. So they will be giving deals away like crazy no matter your credit situation.....lol they want it of the dealership lot. But to answer your question I was doing a little research myself and if you want a brand new car I would say start small with a very affordable 4 cylinder car or if you want to step up then 6 cylinder. I would say PT Cruisers are good on gas and it is very spacious and it's not such a chick car in my opinion. Also you can go with the all trustworthy Honda Civic those are usually affordable and reliable and my might be the best chose. In my opinion I like the Civic Si it's real sporty. Another small affordable one would be the Nissan Sentra. And oh yeah the Chevy Cobalt should be reasonable and you can definitely make it into sporty guy muscle machine....lol just kidding with you. And regarding the Pontiac if you go that route get the G5 instead of the G6 cheaper and the same but a little smaller!!!But to end this off I would also say check out Saturns new models they are kinda cool to me but they are very reliable cars which is more important than the look. But overall get a used car if you are starting out and not car note. Cheap on insurance and less stress trust me. Well I hope that this helps!!!

Well if you are in the same boat as me and most other 16 year olds, you don't have the money to buy something new. I would suggest you get a Chevy/Geo Prizm. If you have ever looked at a Prizm before you would be able to see it looks a lot like a Toyota Corolla, this is because Chevy/Geo paid Toyota to make the Corolla for them and Chevy/Geo just re-branded it with there label, this is good for you because normally Toyotas have a high re-sale value and the re-sale value on a Chevy is much less, this means you can get the Toyota reliability for the Chevy price. I say Chevy/Geo because Geo was bought out by Chevy, but the Prizm was always built by Toyota, so it doesn't matter which one you get. Plus they get great gas millage.

I don't know your budget but I STRONGLY recommend getting a hybrid--especially a toyota Prius. Great for the conscience...oh, and you'll save on gas. MIght not save money overall because they're more expensive but if you can afford a hybrid and you don't get one...what's your excuse. I don't want to hear people complaining about pollution who haven't done anything about it.
The Prius is apparently more reliable than the average gas only car and interesting to drive to maximize mileage with the computer in the dashboard that shows when the electric motor and/or gas engine are running.

Good luck with your decision.

you could probably buy a Toyota or a Nissan and give family rides or you could get a SUV and use it for family, friends and for towing some things and you got extra room in it I recommend a Toyota Landcrusier or a Gmc , Nissan And Chevy
