I'm so sick about my car right now I feel like I'm going to puke. Everything was perfect with it then all of a sudden on my way home today everything just went to hell. First, I had to floor it so I could merge into 55 mph traffic and when I did the engine just revs like crazy but it wouldnt shift. I almost got into an accident. It still shifts when I just drive it normally. is the tranny cooked? Then just to make matters wose my ABS and Trac off lights came on as I was pulling into my driveway (somebody had mentioned ball joints as a possible cause a while ago???), and the icing on the cake was when I went to shift it into park the shifter knob popped off. What the F*ck is going on???!!!

The 200r transmssion is new but it's not changing gears correctly and I plan on puttin bigger wheels on later, I haven't decided If I would do rallys are not but what kind of transmission would be good for rims?

I need some good advice from someone well qualified in this field. Straight answers only please.
I have just put about a litre and a half of unleaded petrol in my diesel car on top of about half a tank of diesel. I know that I shouldn't have run the car after but had to do so and drove for about a mile. The main dealer are all ligned up to fleece me for lots of money and my reputable local garage offered to drain it but said it would probably be fine. Please help if you can give me some serious well informed advice.

I have a 3 month old corolla brand new with a warranty and everything, lately i've noticed that if I start the engine it'll idle at 2000RPM. After about 15 seconds it'll start to lower down into the 1000s. One thing to take into account is it has gotten much colder where I live. It used to be 70F degrees in the morning and now it is about 50F. Could this be influencing it? If I start the engine, drive, turn it off, then start it 5 minutes later, it won't do this.

When I shift it into drive (it's an automatic) I kind of feel it kick and it drops down to 1000 RPM. If I put it back into park it is still down at 1000RPM. Is this a problem?

Right now, I'm roughly spending 340-400 a month on gas with my Jeep.. if I were to get a tC, my car payment would go up $75.00 but I'm guessing I would save on gas?

I still have to calculate how much I drive in a month, or 2 wks. I've had to lend out my car the past month on and off so my gas mileage isn't accurately calculated..

I have a car that i financed about a year and a half ago...i hate it!! its a 2 door coupe with crank windows and manual lock, i hate the way it drives for i am a RWD kinda girl. I would put up with it, except im pregnant now and its SOOOOO hard to get in and out of and its goign to suck ttying to get a baby out of the back seat and its impossible to open the door and windows on the passenger side....but i still owe alot oon my loan...is there anyway to get a dealership to take my car and my excisting loan if i buy a different car, and take a new loan?

Don't you think people would relize that driving over certain speeds, on certain roads, in certain areas, isn't a good ideal, or not safe? Or, would everyone drive like speeding crazy maniacs? Like, full throttle, burning up gas like crazy, cutting everyone off, tail gating?

I have a 1995 chevy monte carlo. When I turn on my headlights my dash lights, and tail lights don't come on. I have already checked the fuses, and they are all good. My headlights work fine, and so do my blickers and brake lights. Please Help!

I have a 1981 xv750
I must go very easy in first gear or else the bike starts jerking and grinding(sounds like rocks in a coffee can). Once I go into second gear i can give it full power and the bike goes. no other problems with the other gears. clutch is not slipping and is adjusted properly. On occasion when the bike starts jerking the gear shift jams and i cannot get second gear unless i pop the clucth a few times and then i can get second. If I feather the clutch when I an starting out I can get up to about 10mph before the jerking starts.

I bought a 2000 honda prelude from a very small used car dealership. I signed the bill of sale papers only. They told me to come back in three days to sign the loan papers. I wrote two checks for the down payment, as well. The next day, I tried to start up the car, it wouldn't start. It isn't the battery, already tried to jump start it. I called the dealership, talked to the salesman who sold me the car, he said it just needed a jump, I then told him, already tried it, so now I just want them to tow it back to their dealership and I wanted out of buying the car. He then put his manager on the line, I told him the same, then his tone changed, he said "I'm too busy to deal with this right now." I told him to call me when they are towing it so i can give them the key. This went on for weeks, they still haven't picked it up. It's a $8100 car, is it stolen? Is that why they aren't picking it up? I talk to the sales guy every week, and he keeps on saying he'll call me back, which he doesn't.

I recently got a DWI, before anyone jumps down my throat I know how wrong it is. It is truly the biggest mistake I have ever made and one that will follow me forever probably.
