I just recently bought a new car. It's a '99 Mitsubishi Eclipse and it's manually operated. (Stick-shift) I have pretty short legs, so even though it's a small car, I have to pull the seat up pretty far in order to push the clutch in all the way. The problem I'm having is that my seat belt seems to lock up well before it's around me and I have to force it into the lock. When I let it go, there's no slack whatsoever and it's practically digging into my neck.

I refuse to drive without the seatbelt, since I know it's against the law and I know it would save my life if I was in an accident.

I've searched online for "seat belt extenders" and can't seem to find anywhere that sells them. Has anyone else had a problem like this? What do I do? Thanks in advance for any advice.

My radiator hose popped on my 95 accord while sitting at a stop light. I was going to change it awhile ago because the tube was bloated, but it eventually just popped on me. So my question... I put a new tube on and filled up the radiator with 50 coolant/ and 50 water... how come ever since I did this the radiator smokes??? Obviously I will take it into a mechanic but I was just what could be the problem.

I have heard that 85% ethanol is only 72% as energy efficient as regular unleaded but I can't find a source that tells how efficient 10% ethanol blend is. Let me know where you found the answer.

You can be driving down the road and it is time to shift gears and it might shift to neutral. Then it hangs up right there until you pump the clutch 4 or 5 times. Then it shifts like nothing is wrong. It will be a while before it does this again. You never know if you are going to be able to shift gears before you have to pump the clutch. Does anyone know what might be wrong? Is there a place for some kind of fluid that I might to need to fill?

If you drive a car to work, do those suspension upgrades and/or exhaust upgrades, really make a difference? Or are they REALLY for race track type of driving?

I checked vacuum as in Fact Serv Manual. It is ok, except vac doesn't hold at black port at vac conn as FSM says it should.Panel vents don't work at all, whether at idle or acceleration. Always blows on floor when set to PANEL. DEF and FLOOR settings work fine. I changed out ATC unit and Power Module. ATC diagnosis shows no faults. FSM mentions check valve, but A) I can't find it, and B) I think it isn't the culprit because vents NEVER work- not even at idle (high vacuum). Check valve at Master Cyl is ok and does hold vacuum where it goes into car thru firewall. Temperature settings work as expected. Coolant mixing valve works fine (vac actuated).
Thank you for your help!

I just started sailing beginning this summer, once a week here in Corpus christi on a J44. It's a blast, and I plan to continue to sail on that boat, but I want to get my own "trailer-able" boat to go out on weekends and learn more in depth.

I'd like to at least be able to take my wife aboard to have some fun (sailing), and to teach my two daughters once thier old enough.

I'd like to be able to launch a spinnaker, as well.

also, what should I expect to pay for a used not-too-old model

Would like to buy a new vehicle without the hassel of dealing with competing sales people and dealerships that want to deliver sting as well as burn.

Buying a new vehicle should be an enjoyable experience. They should throw out the red carpet and really try to please. Instead, they try to soak you for every dime they can get. Here you are buying a brand new vehicle with dealer warranty and they want you to buy all that other maintenance crap which you don't want which will raise your payments up and beyond and a myriad of other crap you don't want. They totally ruin the fun and joy and insult your intelligence to rub salt into the wound. They are the greediest most ungrateful bunch of people and are only thinking about how to serve themselves and not the customer. Where can one get online and find the car they want and purchase without all the hassels of dealing with the dysfunctional situation at the dealerships in their area? Enough already. Sick to death with dealerships!

Hey, i have a bike with a motor that my dad put on it and he got it from this website.

www.kingsmotorbikes.com

I was wondering if I could use 2 cycle oil in it instead of synthetic 2 stroke that it says would be the only one that would work. I looked in two walmarts and an autozone for sythetic 2 stroke oil but can't find it. Does anyone know much about motor bikes?

my mechanic recently replaced the spark plugs and cbles on my 00 jetta 2.0. the spark plugs are under the cylinders, therefore he had to unscrew the cylinders, letting air go inside. after completing thr job, the engine vibrates, he said it's because of the air that entered the cylinders; which also caused the check engine light to turn on. so, is this true?
