Why not be a man about it and tell your dad what you did? He might be supprised to find your first attempt of honesty. How can you trust someone with a million dollars when you cannot trust them with a dollar. This might be a true test of your self.

I am certain that it can be fixed. How about your self worth if you hide behind your brother?

Time to grow up. I know you don't want to take the heat, I've got news for you, no one else does either.

You are the one that scratched it, then own up to it, and learn to stand on your own two feet. What can your Dad do? He might yell a little but that's about it. why would you let your brother take the heat, if you know he is innocent???????

It's no big deal, it is just a car and cars come and go in your life. Your honesty will stay with you the rest of your life and that is a long time to have to live with it.

good luck

I'm counting on you to do the right thing.

and let your brother take the heat? What makes you think that he won't figure it out?
Wow, what a lucky guy he is to have a fine, honest, and upstanding brother like you.

C'mon, you are already in deep doodoo. Are you willing to run the risk of losing your brother as a friend and having the rest of the family angry at you?
So be a man and be honest about the scratch. Your family will respect you more for being honest than for being a liar.

It's called "responsiblity," own it. You might be able to get off the hook this time, but what about the rest of the areas of life that call for responsibility? That's one thing that's wrong with this world is there are no consequences and people won't own their responsibility in anything. Sorry, but you asked. I don't know how to sugar-coat it. In the end, you are the one that has to put your head down and sleep at night. Do the right thing, and hold your head up.
