Does anyone know if I can get a reasonable amount if I don't get a lawyer for my car accident.

Rear ended. $3000 worth of damage to a 11 year-ol vehicle. I was 8 months pregnant. Couldn't take medications until delivery. I'm not trying to scam anyone. My husband and I are taking care of 8 children right now and I don't have the time to wrestle with these people, but I still want to be compensated for the absolute misery I was in for 6 months.

There's an old saying, "The person who acts as his own lawyer has a fool for a client!". Basically, it is a non-reasonable approach to try to represent yourself in accident cases.

I'd recommend you visit an attorney to find out IF you've got a case (or defense, as applicable). Good luck!

As what you said, you don't have time to wrestle with their Insurance company .... so the more you should get a lawyer to do the job for you. And there are many lawyers out there who only get paid when you are compensated. Good luck!

You see the lawyers on the TV all the time advertising that if you were injured in an accident to give them a call. If they don't recover, then you don't pay them.

Don't speak to the other persons insurance company, you can bet that the call is being taped for evidence.

Refer all of their calls to your attorney, and let them fight it, that is what you are paying them for.

Don't delay on this, time does matter.

Call a lawyer today, they should have someone answering the phone.

good luck.

Usually don't take the first offer from the insurance company because they will want to give you as little as posibble. But don't pull a scam either.
