You can be driving down the road and it is time to shift gears and it might shift to neutral. Then it hangs up right there until you pump the clutch 4 or 5 times. Then it shifts like nothing is wrong. It will be a while before it does this again. You never know if you are going to be able to shift gears before you have to pump the clutch. Does anyone know what might be wrong? Is there a place for some kind of fluid that I might to need to fill?

Happened to me. It's your clutch slave cylinder. Located externally (luckily) on tranny driver side. Crawl underneath,...it's the black "hotdog shaped" thing with a plastic line coming out of it extending up your firewall to your clutch master cylinder. Replacement is quite simple, regular handtools. Gets a little tedious to remove master cylinder & clutchpedal linkage do to limited access, but can easily be done in driveway in under 1 hr. You must replace everything as it is a "sealed" unit. About $200 from "stealership".

Sure dude. Bring it into a mechanic and have them check the hydralic clutch fluid pecular to Jeep and a few other vehicles. Also be sure your forward mufflet hanger is in good shape. It's a vital design flaw. If the hanger wears out, your exhaust manifold cracks and melts the wiring under the hood. Several hundred dollars at least. As a bonus here's a video everyone should see. Oh, and a free source of ebooks. The one on emotional intelligence is the most important as knowledge of EI is the best indicator of succuess and happiness in life. I tell you because I care.
