The person who already has the insurance (if it's not you) needs to call his insurance agent and have you added as a driver, and the car added to a multi-car policy. The rates may or may not stay the same; your driving record will factor into the equation in most cases.

Do you live with this person? Multi-car discounts are for autos in the same family and location. If you are not related, may not be able to get it at all. Only way I can see this working is if you turn the car over to the person.

Tell your Agent that yopu would like to place a second vechicle on the policy. More than likely you willget a what they
call multi car discount. Which can be good. Check with State -
Farm they have really good rates.
