the bikle ran fine when I got to work but when it was time to go home nothing battery good is the security system locking me out

could be your security system could also be your starter relay, its a 1 inch square box that will be plugged in next to your circut breakers, look in your manual to see which 1 it is they all look alike. an 06 should still be under the 2 year warranty should'nt it?

If the flashers come on, it's definitely the security system.
If they don't, it's something else.
Same thing happened to me one day, when it was time to go to work. Everything ok, just no start. No click, nothing. Lights, horn, directionals, all fine. Turned out to be the battery terminals. Looked good, read good on a voltmeter. There was a very thin oxide coating on the terminals. Cleaned them, and back to normal.

sounds like the security system is locking the bike from starting if u turned it on

I would guess that it is your security system,,,I had a 2003 heritage,,,same thing happened to me several times..shop had to repair it...

sounds like the starter solinoid is stuck...i remedyed that problem,,in the catologs for harleys there is a push button switch you can put in place of the solinoid cover..to manualy ingage the starter,,it saved me a few times ,,the big inch bikes with no kicker backup ...or when the starter is a bit stuck,,

if your turn signals are alternately flashing then yes its the security system.

best bet is to take it into the shop after all its still under warranty, let them fix it for free.
