I dont know whats going on i start the car and everything is ok then when i give it gas it sputters like it wants to go but is having trouble with maybe not enough gas or something of this sort just not sure i have replaced the exhaust and spark plugs and i am still not having any luck. If anyone knows what the plaoblem could be please help me out with it. I also think it may be the Fuel Injectors but dont want to spend 300.00 on them without being sure. I did have them cleaned but that may not have helped. I also am thinking it may be the fuel pump but once again i dont want to spend 200.00 plus 5 hours on the car without being sure. So if anyone has any insight for me please help me out on either how to figure this out or maybe you had the same problem and know whats wrong. Please help me out.

Hello,

I'm a 17-year-old NYS resident who has a NYS learners permit.

My family owns an apartment in Florida which we travel to many times a year.

In New York, in order to get your NYS license under the age of 18, you must take a drivers education course. I never took this course. Why? I have outside of school obligations that require nearly all my free time.

During my next trip to Florida, can I take a road test in Florida and receive a drivers license from Florida? Can I then use it in New York? Do I have to be a resident of Florida? I don't attend school in Florida so I don't believe I'm a full resident. I don't know what classification I would fall under, do you?

Please don't simply quote the DMV website. I have looked at both New York's DMV website as well as Florida's DMV website and the wording is very vague.

Thanks for your help.

I recently went to a local airshow and they mentioned that an RAF Typhoon which appeared could "Fly By Wire" although because of the immense noise, I couldn't hear exactly what the commentator said it was haha!

Does this mean my alternator's faulty?

I had batterys installed in 2006 in 2001 F 250. One went bad and both had to replaced in 2006 and then also again yesterday.

When I went to warranty them out, they said that the alternator boiled them out because the fluid was below the plate??

My mechanic isn't open till Monday now to ask, and I just spent $345 on new interstate batteries (diesel truck) and don't want to ruin them.

Any advice?

I've got a gas-guzzling, muscle car (not the best commuter car!) that I bought when I was younger and didn't know any better. With gas prices still sky-high in the Bay Area, this is killing me!! I know nothing about motorcycles other than they're good on gas and they can get through traffic better than the boat that I'm driving. What would be the best for my size if I were to get a sport bike or a chopper/cruiser??

I have a crotch rocket with 180/55/17 rear. Looking for a good used rear for now. Anybody know of a site that sells used race tires? Just looking for something to get me through this month. It's getting stretched and lowered over the winter months so I will be going to a wider tire then. Thanks in advance

OK, I have been told that my 99 Express Van needs a new fuel pump, but I'm not so convinced. My van runs. It makes a little noise...kinda a puttering, not loud. The check engine light was on, but currently it's off. It seems from what I've been reading that if you need a new fuel pump, your car will not start, or it will stall and need to be restarted... It actually runs just fine, the puttering starts when I'm accelerating, but it does not slow the van down. I was told that I needed a new fuel pump, maybe a new compressor, and all new wiring and spark plugs! Total cost would be just under $3,000!!! Please, if you have any insight at all, please share.

Please, only people who are mechanics, or really know something about cars. Thank you so much!

I bought my car from a private party who happened to be a mechanic. When I got it, he told me to "always make sure to use synthetic motor oil."
I'm not a dumb chick but I kept putting off some work that needed to be done (ie. replacing gaskets that were needed on the motor and oil pan) so the car was consistently leaking oil and I needed to check it and replace what had been lost about every 2 weeks or so. Well at some point down the line, on the spot and unable to obtain synthetic oil, I used regular motor oil that I bought at the gas station.
Maybe I AM a dumb chick because I kept putting off the repair work and again and again I found myself using the crappy oil which was easier to get when on the fly.
I'm not sure if this is the problem or not but the car is running crappier and crappier and I'm worried that I made a small problem much worse.
I'm really scared to take the car to this guy for the job and admit that I didn't take his advice.
What do you think,?

I live in Arizona and I plan to get my class g license really soon and I was just wondering about something. Will I have to take another test like I did for my learner's permit. I heard that when you go and get that g class license that if you took the learner's permit test less than six or seven months ago, that you don't have to take a test for the g class license. I know you still have to do a road course test. Thank you for the help.
