I have a crotch rocket with 180/55/17 rear. Looking for a good used rear for now. Anybody know of a site that sells used race tires? Just looking for something to get me through this month. It's getting stretched and lowered over the winter months so I will be going to a wider tire then. Thanks in advance

When I say race tires I mean road race (just the sides wore down) not drag tires (slicks). I'm not much for the twisties so I don't use the sides too much! As long as I can find a tire with atleast 75% tread in the middle I think I would be fine.

To get 75% tread, you almost gotta buy new.
bill b's suggestion is a good one. Cheng Shin tires are not expensive, have good grip, and reasonable tread life. They have done me well on all my Hondas. If I find a set I like, with the right ratings, I may start running them on the Harley as well.

go to jpcycles.com....you can buy some cheap Cheng Shen tires for less than $60.00..I don't know how good they are but you usually get what you pay for.It would probably be better than a worn out tire. If it only needs to last a month you'll be okay.
Tires are very important on a bike, I only use the best and wouldn't try to go cheap.

No, ah, usually tires taken off a bike are taken off for a reason, like they're worn out, and you wouldn't want to use race tires on the street, no tread.
