where is the inertia switch on a ford contour?

I assume you mean the one for the fuel pump cutoff. in the trunk .push the reset button ,usually red some are black.

The inertia switch on all Fords is mounted under the dash on the drivers side above and in front of the brake pedal. Push the red button to reset it.
