For instance: ambulance arrives at the scene of an incident, sounding like a normal engine. Driver places ambulance in park and steps out, engine sounds like it is idling very fast. Why do ambulances do this?

I ran an errand early this morning and my car started fine and sounded fine.

Later, I started my car again and it's making this weird weed wacker rumbling vibration sound when the engine revs up as I drive. Another analogy is it sounds like a lawn mower. The "weedwacker" noise gets very loud as I go up in rpms and I don't even have to go full throttle to hear that sound. The engines got merely 70,000 miles on it and I've had it for 2 years. I can't figure it out because I have no experience with cars.

Is it a busted cynlinder or belt somewhere? I have no idea, but it's freaking me out.

Because I crashed my truck into a ditch last night and had to walk about three miles in the middle of the night in cowboy boots to get back to the ranch. Don't say 'take a cab' because they don't have those here.

I'm trying to sell my jeep. It's parked on a vacant lot with my "For Sale" sign on it. There are other cars there, but I don't know those owners. Yesterday, I had a really nice interested private buyer looking at my jeep when these annoyingly aggressive professional car salesmen drove up right in the middle of our conversation, handed my customer their card and tried to get them away from my vehicle and into their dealership. I don't know these salesmen and they don't know me. I'm an honest seller selling a good vehicle. What should I do the next time this happens?

I run a small car rental company inside of our main Chevy/Toyota dealership. I'm looking for neat stuff to promote our rental cars, such as banner, flags, signs, coffee mugs, etc., that would say something like "Rent Me" or "Car Rentals" etc, something that is not affiliated with Avis, Enterprise, Budget, etc.

Ok, lets a person is driving their partner's car and meaning they live together and are not married, and they are driving home drunk, hits a park car goes over the roof and lands on the roof of the car they are driving so basically both cars look like crap no longer able to drive, the person that is driving drunk is a good driver never in trouble with the law,but they aren't coverd under their partner's insurance, is their partner's insurance company stil going to pay for all the damages to both cars even through there was a DWI and the person driving was 3 times over the legal drinking limit? If not what happends, do you go to jail and have to pay back all the fees? Are you safe for jail but have a certain amout of time to back back everything, it probably is going to be thousands of dollars worth of damages so the court should give some time to pay everything back right? Last question how long does that person loose their license for?

I've read on this site, that although bulletproof, these aren't good for a first bike. I'm a big guy, 6' 280 lbs (closer to linebacker 280 lbs than weight watchers 280 lbs) and was by a friend who rides that I shouldn't look at anything less than a 750. Any thoughts on this? If not this bike then which would you suggest?

I have a friend who works at a harley dealership and yesterday he wanted to show me what kind of crap they have to deal with everyday because I always accuse of having an easy job. So were looking over the dealers recent sales and in the last month they a total of 4 people payed cash for their bike out of 79 total sales and to top it off 53 of those people financned over 1000$ worth the clothes with their bikes and an additional 14 financed a few hundred worth the harley clothes. And most of the loans were for the full 6 years. So what does this say about the typical harley rider? And what does the average of a 19% interest rate say about their credit?

I know that the fuseholder on the power cable needs to be higher than the amps fuse.

This new amp I'm about to grab has three 40 fuses on it.

the question: Does that mean I need a 120 fuse for my fuseholder to handle this amp?
