Was running down the road , climbing up on a gear running about 4500 rpm and all of a sudden i lost power , i have fine compression , no smoke , this is a new engine.. it seems to be running on 3 cylinders so something in the spark is not working right.. ive checked my plugs , wires and ignition and they all seem to be working.

i have a 1989 camaro iroc z that when i turn on the ac the car over heats to baout 240 and when i turn it off the car cool's down to about 205 to 220. but the cars redieater reserve tank is leaks so is always empty. so what do you think? get back

i'm interested in these cars, where to get info about them, scpecs, options , hp rating..torque rating..did hp incears at the last year? and what visually different inside the car of supercharged vs V8? do all come with rear disc brakes..gear in rear end is ?? 3.08? 2.73..3.27?
is the 5.0 better than 4.6 v8? if not..why? if so..why?

I set the timing around 10 degrees btdc at about 2,000 rpm. Engine sounds real nice, replaced head gaskets and camshaft to a stock cam. It sounds real smooth, no ticking or anything and even when given gas. I tried to set idle around 700 but it's as if it wants to die out if I go under 1,000rpm.

I checked the timing at 1,000 rpm or lower and its at about right on tdc 0.

How can I set the timing so that it doesn't pop, hesitate or anything? I want a clean, smooth idle, like stock.


Also, it seems as if cylinder # 8 gets the hottest, why is that? I felt all the headers,(after market long tube) and they all feel about the same temperature expect for #8 which seems real hot. Water temp is about 190.

Engine is a 1970 350 bored .030 over in an 86 camaro

are the octane readings on gas pumps accurate, or do i need to buy octane boost? my olds is set up to run on 87 octane and i was wondering if it is really 87 of i need to boost it some? thanks.

I have a '97 Cadillac Catera that I bought last September. I had the battery replaced in February but the terminals were smaller so sometimes the cables were not connected. Now when I drive if the fan runs to cool my car or I run the defrost/air/heat and turn my lights on after dark my voltmeter goes down to the bar just before the red. Is that normal? Need to charge the battery? Also the car has been running warm to the point where the fan kicks in to pull heat from the engine and it's only been 65-75 out the past week or so. Another issue I have is last time a friend changed my oil he noticed white milky gooey stuff in the top where oil is put in....definitely not normal...didn't find the white stuff actually in the oil though... Once in a while also my car doesn't want to shift when I first start it and go somewhere- it winds up but doesn't shift. After a few minutes of driving slow and winding it up a bit it will finally shift. Any ideas what's going on and the cost to fi

I live in chesapeake and I am starting at ODU. I get onto 168 at battlefield blvd and it turns into 464. I was wondering is traffic usually pretty bad in the morning getting into downtown norfolk, using the st pauls exit off of 464 to get to hampton blvd? Or if you know another way to get there that has less traffic, please explain. (Remember brambleton is down to 1 lane). Any Suggestions on what to do? (I would be comming from greenbrier if you have another way)

I have been looking at car security/remote start systems, and I have come across the Viper 5900 and 7900, both of which I very much like. However, I am not sure if they will work on a manual transmission.

If they will not, what are some good, similar security/remote start systems that will work wtih a manual transmission?

Ok, all I am really comparing here are Corvettes and Vipers with Ferraris and Lamborghinis ... the former cost anywhere from $80,000 and upwards, but the latter are like, $200,000 - $350,000. Why the huge price difference? Are Italian sports cars really that much better?

I have a small alum boat, about 8', and it has a slow leak as a result of bouncing up on some rocks during a storm. The hull has many small dents in it. I am not sure where it is leaking, and if I can find the leak, which i think i can, i am wondering what is a good way to fix an alum boat. note: it has rivets on the seams. thanks

Everything else has been signed correctly. I have contacted him and he isn't helping me at all. He doesn't answer his phone and when I text him saying I will take legal action he calls me and begins to curse me out saying that I am harrassing him. Is there anyway I can register the vehicle to me. I have a bill of sale and title. The bill of sales has been signed correctly. The title has that 1 mistake of him signing in the place I was supposed to sign. He completely ignores all communication from me by just not answering or texting me saying he's to busy. Any suggestions? I live in Louisiana.

I bought this boat saturday june 23 when we started the engine the battery sounded weak. went to the lake the same day no start no noise. today brought the battery to get checked it was fine.Hook back up now the starter sometimes it will click somtimes it just wines but wont engage. I jump the relay on the motor it wines. I jumped the relay that goes to the battery didnt spark or do anything. Also the tilt is not working now any tips would be helpful its a wiring mess
