WHen wiring dual 2 ohm subs like 2 12" Kicker CVR's to reach 4 ohm you wire them in a series. DOes this produce less power?

My question is: what’s the likely cause and what’s the fix? I’m moderately handy with cars.

This is a car I purchased recently. (I have three other El’s, but have never seen this problem.) The car sat for three years before I got it. Seller said it had carburetor problems. 106k on the odometer.

Symptoms at present (persisting after some attempted fixes):

1. black smoke on start-up

2. black smoke while driving but at a lower level

3. more dense black smoke upon acceleration

4. misses upon start-up, then evens out


I have done the following:

a. replaced plugs; originals heavily carbonated

b. replaced distributor cap

c. changed oil

d. > > > swapped the carb from another 305 from an El that had been running well but has 238k < < <

e. treated the gasoline and added more new gasoline


Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks for taking the time to respond!

1971 impala, 350 2 bbl...replaced the timing chain and all, but every week so far there is one rocker arm that is always breaking, and it's a different one every time...what is the issue cause this is the 3rd time this had happened and i am tired of taking it back to the shop for them to try to gank me (charge me shop fees) and how to correct it so that this doesnt happen again

I have a 2006 Maxima. When I drive it I feel hot air coming from the bottom. Its annoying when its a nice day like 84 degrees outside i shouldnt have to feel like I have to turn on the airconditioning to feel comfortable! My wife's sister's family was hit by a VW in a Toyota. The family of five is a family of four now. She's "with child" again (and yes they will have another baby girl). What did they buy to replace his totaled car? (1)The biggest, tallest, heaviest hunk of iron he could wrap his family in to protect them. Hell with the gas! (2) He chose not only something to be 'above the accident' but something that will carry them all in safe, roomy comfort. Call him selfish, but he has his OWN child's grave to visit because he WASN'T driving an SUV. I'm buying a new car on Tuesday. It's a 41 mpg Toyota Corolla with a hundred airbags. Call me frugal, call me green, but here in CA with all the illegal, unlicensed drivers, call me scared but too broke to buy and maintain something big enough to protect my family. By the way, her brother-in -law hates off roading but loves his family. Luckily, I like little cars.

I have a car with a personal reg on it. I want to sell the number and get the original one back on it. Will I have to pay the registration fee of 80pounds + vat twice to take off and replace? Do I still own the old one? The DVLA website isn't very helpful

My husband is looking at an 06 hyundai sonata. This is really for people who have one. Do you like it? Have you ever had any problems with it?

Also, he's wondering about the gas mileage.
About how many miles to the gallon do you get?
How much is it to fill it? Then- how much is the gas per gallon where you live, I know there are differences in diff areas. I'd like to get the closest comparison. Thank you.

Three of you gave stupid answers. Number one, I don't have buyer's remorse. I love this car. Secondly, I knew I was buying a car. You did not fully understand the question before you gave a illogical answer. There were not 17 pages to sign. There was only 4 sheets with no figures on it. I was naive in believing in the sales people and credit manager.
Finance Director I feels sorry for your employer because you don't know your job. My car was 28,000 and the dealership sent in 44000 to be financed. I was not aware of these hidden charges. I did not know that I would be paying for my own rebate. How is it a rebate when you are paying it yourself.. I was decieved by this dealership. A rep for the finance company told me to seek a lawyer. The amount I will pay back is 73,000. I will get out of this contract because I would not have signed a contract for this amount of money.

The rear view mirror seams to be extremely hard to take off of the windshield mount. I am not talking about the part that is glued to the windshield. This is a GM type mirror that seams to be a very heavy duty spring making it stuck to the windshield mount.

The problem did not begin until after I installed the system. But the installation was well done. The car would stop at stop lights or when i slow down and the RPMs drop. It is a 1000 watt amp and 1200 watt subwoofer. I removed them from the first car i have and had no problems with that one. But now I do with this one.

I have a 92 Ford F-150 it has a 4.9L engine and is 4WD its overheating i think it may be a head gasket or the thermostat how can i tell? Smoke comes pouring out of the engine after not even driving it for a mile and theres oil leaking all over the engine looks like it could be a head gasket problem but i cant be sure....any suggestions?
