Does anybody know what product you can use on a black car that has fade spots on the hood?

The spots are not rusted, just chipped and faded.

If they're small, a Sharpie will work. That's what car dealers do. Color in the spot, then wax the car. (White out is used on a white car.)

Try 3M brand super duty rubbing compound.Or Meguiars rubbing compound. Using the compound with a power wheel will give better results. Just make sure to keep the wheel bonnet moving all the time or you will burn through the paint.
