Open the phone book, pick up the phone, and call a few. Nobody here is in any danger of doing the work on your car so what anyone here tells you means absolutely nothing.

in my town there is several companies that only deal with alternate rs generators and batteries, look in the yellow pages and locate them and get a price , you take it out, and drop it off go have a burger and pick it up . i paid $40 and it's worked for over 3 years , they rebuild your starter or what ever and that's all they do .it's as good as new and less then 1/3 the cost, good luck!

I'm not sure where you're located, but there's a great website you can use to get competative quotes on the repairs you need. Right now technicians are logging in from DC/MD/VA and New York/New Jersey. But we're actively looking for technicians and autobody shops all over the country.
