Everything else has been signed correctly. I have contacted him and he isn't helping me at all. He doesn't answer his phone and when I text him saying I will take legal action he calls me and begins to curse me out saying that I am harrassing him. Is there anyway I can register the vehicle to me. I have a bill of sale and title. The bill of sales has been signed correctly. The title has that 1 mistake of him signing in the place I was supposed to sign. He completely ignores all communication from me by just not answering or texting me saying he's to busy. Any suggestions? I live in Louisiana.

Take the title and the other paperwork required to register the vehicle to DMV. They will be able to help you out. He already signed (and hopefully had the signature notarized), so he has given up the rights to car/truck. I would also take the bill of sale with me. Some states fine you if you haven't completed the transfer with-in so many days, so I would get over to DMV as soon as you can. Good luck!

Is the bill of sale notarized? Have you signed on the title yet? Do you know if a Notification of Sale has been filed, by the seller?
If the bill of sale is notarized, you probably can get it transferred, with you making a statement regarding the error.
If you have not signed the title yet, don't! Wait until you get to the DMV and the agent will tell you where and how to sign it, so that the error can be documented correctly.
If the seller has filed the Seller's report, then the DMV can get the copy of it, and use it as another proof of sale document.

You will probably need to make a statement regarding the error, regardless of what option you are able to use, from above. Proof of telephone calls, or texts may be helpful as well. Do not threaten the seller, it appears to be an error and you wouldn't have any legal grounds against him, to threaten suit. Take your documents to the DMV, I think you will find that the transaction can be taken care of.

In most states, there is a document called an "affadavit of correction" to report a mistake made during the signing and transfer of the title. In GA and FL it is so common for this to happen, there is a check box that says "seller signed in error" or something close to this. Go to your local dmv to get the form and see if the seller needs to sign or whether you can do it. Also, see if you need a notary. Good Luck!!

Just go to DMV. You have a bill of sale and that is all that matters.

Someone did something wrong on my title and all I had to do was write a statement saying that I was not trying to commit fraud. I wrote it and signed it and the DMV lady notarized it and gave me what I needed.

Take the title to dmv and see if they will register it for you. If not get the sheriff to go to this man's house and get him to sign in the correct place.
