is there any particular way to memorize streets, and know your way around?

I live in southern california( orange county ) and i always hear people talk about random streets, and they just know every road and freeway/freeway exit like the back of their hand...

is there any program, or site on the internet to learn?..or what is a good way to know your way around besides driving around ..

Its time America for us to take a stand and have these people in State and Federal Offices to raise the speed limits. I am sick of doing 65 & 70 mph on the freeway and I know I can go much faster and still be safe. Well tell me how you feel about this issue?

I made my appointment online to get my license here in Southern California, it said all I needed to bring with me is: Learner's Permit, Proof of Insurance, and a licensed driver. I brought all three. I am borrowing my friend's car because my husband's car is manual and it's harder for me. Anyway, I went to the DMV and the lady was completely rude to me, she told me I need car registration. It didn't say I needed that so I didn't think to bother with that. The car registration wasn't in the car and I found out it was suspended or expired, something like that. I thought maybe I could still take the test with the proof of insurance, but the lady at the desk said no and to go get the car registered, I told her I can't and it's not my car, it's my friends car, I asked her if maybe the DMV would provide a car for me to use to take the test, because I know in some states they do that, she said no. She asked me where were my parents (I'm 19). I didn't know it was this hard to get my license.

I bought a used car from a dealer in Syracuse, NY with a bad transmission. It is a 93 LeBaron with 135,000 miles on it. It drove off the lot OK then the transmission went a few miles later. He's been "working on it" for OVER 2 MONTHS!! He continues to delay me with new excuses every week. He won't give me my money back and yet he won't admit the car is no good. Other than the NY State DMV, Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau are there any other sources besides a lawyer to ask for help?

Yet another question concerning my first bike, a 76 Honda 360. I found a petcock for it on a '75 350, and I spent a few hours getting all the gunk out of the sucker. When I reassembled it and put it on the 360, it leaked like a sieve.

It looked like it was mostly leaking from around the area of the on/off/reserve switch, so I took it back apart. It turns out one of the gaskets in there is completely shot. Not the black rubber gasket with 3 small holes in it, but the metal gasket that goes around the edge. I knew it was all bent up before, but I thought it may lay down flat when I screwed the switch back on.

What I'm trying to figure out, is if I need to buy a complete petcock rebuild kit just to replace this one gasket. Or, maybe can I just get a rubber O-ring of the same diameter and use it instead (and if so where do you think I could find one). Thanks you guys for the help before, have a good one.

I cannot find anywhere my son can park his large truck whwn he comes thru here to see me for a day and 1/2. I am disabled and cannot go get him from far away where he might find parking. Does anyone know if he could park the very nice truck anywhere in Plano area. I don't get to see him very much because of this problem. Would large Church parking lot consider this or just anyone that can help?

I lost the keys to my 2000 Mercury Mountaineer. We purchased and had keys reprogrammed. Locksmith said he cleared the system and not to use the old key if we found it or it would put the car in THEFT mode. Well, we found the key and the key fob. Can we use the keyfob without the car going into theft mode?... What is theft mode anyway?
