I have no intentions to cut anyone's brakes, but I have always wondered what it means exactly. Does it always end in an accident? How is it repaired? What happens from the time the line is cut to the time it is usually discovered?

I blew the rear 6x9 speakers in my cavalier, these were the factory ones. So I bought some Pioneer ones to put in my car, the question is which two wires go connected to the new speakers. The pioneer speakers came with just two wires for each speaker, which obviously would be + and -. The factory ones had a little adapter on it, and each speaker had 2 sets of wires for a total of 4 wires on each speaker. I know I'm gonna have to cut that little adapter, but I'm wondering, do I really need to connect all four of those wires to my new speaker, or do I just need two from there? My head unit is also aftermarket as well.

I put a cable through my front wheel yesterday for security. I got out of work late and hopped on the bike. I got 3 feet when the cable wound itself around the hub. I spent the next half hour unwinding the cable. Fortunately, no damage was done except to my ego.

Any other good (bad) stories from you folks?

I know that modern diesel locomotives use some electronic connection to ensure that when two engines are coupled they both operate in perfect union with one driver. However how was this managed with steam locomotives when `doudle headed' as they had two drivers, two firemen etc, etc. How did they ensure equal power output and braking?

Can anyone out there answer that please, there is a major discussion going on here about it.

I bought the car in texas now im trying to get in transfered in wv into my name. the problem is i bought it from guy #2 in texas which #2 bought it from #1. #2 didnt get the title transfered to his name, but sold it to me on the day i left texas to wv. Guy #1 and #2 are in the military which is making it very difficult to contact them. I cant get the title transferred unless #2 pays for the title then re signs it or # 1 gets another title and puts his and my name on the title. Now is there anyway to go around contacting them and still getting the title transferred into my name in WV. Also the title on the car is from TX.

I got a "parking warning" saying I am parking illegally and my car will be towed if I keep parking there. However, I am parked legally. It doesn't say anywhere that I need a permit to park there. How do I find out if it's a real warning not just someone playing a prank on me?

does paint stick better on urethane bodykit than fiberglass?? i'm talking about the paint getting chip by small rocks and stones when driving. i know someone who got urethane and fiberglass kit and it seems like urethane body kits don't get chip as much. maybe its just the paint job.

When you park in a disc parking zone (in case some people don't know), you set the arrival time on the cardboard clock and leave it on your dashboard. Then you need to get back to your car within the time limit of the zone and drive off (or you may get a parking ticket.

So how does it work for a motorbike? If it's the same idea, do they have a waterproof clock? Can't someone just move the time for a laugh?

Just thought of it when I drove passed a bloke parking his bike in a disc zone.

I have been told by Europeans that gasoline prices are about three times the price in European countries than in the United States. A citizen of England told me that he cannot understand why Americans complain paying $2.50 one gallon of gasoline when the British have to pay over $8.00 for just one gallon in American Dollars. I citizen in Germany told me that most families can afford just one car and you have to rely on public transportation just to get around.
My question is, why are gasoline prices so high in Europe then they are in the United States?

Bought a used hot tub. I was told it worked before the husband replaced the plug and it blew every fuse in the house. It uses 115v i plugged it into my garage and nothing....

I know its getting power because it fried the heck out of me when i was messing with the guts while plugged in..stupid i know.

Anyone know where i should start other than hiring a repair man? Do i need to start the pump some how...do hot tubs often have on off switches other than the plugging it in and the dials?
