Ive had my permit for almost a month and was wondering if there's a certain amount of days you have to wait until you can drive on the highway. But I didn't see anything about it in the driving book.

thanks for all of your answers!

Rear brake on 2004 HD Sportster (13,500 miles) is making a humming sound (not a squealing or chirping) when almost to a stop (less than 15mph). The pads look ok and the rotor is smooth. No pulsation in pedal. No pulsing sensation while braking. Cleaned calipers and pads with brake cleaner. Problem resolved for several days but has returned.

Any clue as to what this might be and how to resolve it?

I have a 6 volt battery/system in my bike. The turn signals on my Suzi stay on but won't flash on and off. I am using 6 volt lights in the signals. I have tried both a 6 and 12 volt flasher, same results; lights stay lit without flashing.

My headlight keeps burning out, I have tried both 6 volt and 12 volt bulbs. 6 volt lights have no chance. 12 volt bulbs are fine when bike is idling, when I give it gas the bulb burns brighter and brighter until it blows.

In the headlight bucket, the electrical hub, there are 3 wires that are not connected to anything. 2 are attached to the bolts that attach the bucket to the front forks, ground wires I'm assuming, but not connected to anything. The 3rd wire is a brown white striped wire with double female connectors at the end, not connected to anything.

I tested the voltage at the signal lights before and after replacing a blown 2 olm resistor with a new 2.4 olm resistor. It read 7.5 volts before and after replacing the resistor.

IDEAS?

just passed my driving test a few wks back and now i have a car!! i cant wait to drive it although tonight i drove only to the petrol station which is in the same town but discovered the car is not that great to handle i.e. the indicators arent on the left hand side they are on the right (i knew this prevoious to buying the car but didnt think that it would be a total problem) but i found it hard to rememeber where they were etc silly mistake. then my bf who was in the passenger seat was shoutin at me so that made me nervous and i feel like im havin to flinstone my feet to the floor when im brakin, which is really annoying, apart from that i love the car and overall love driving (well i loved driving my instructors car) now i have my own everyone says to me its ok u will get used to it . any advice??

I am a student pilot with 43.2 hours, and about 2 hours of solo time. All of that was pattern work. Today, I went up to do some soloing and it was snowing a bit, but that was no big deal. Then the wind picked up and I felt the drops in alt. and the plane was just banking like crazy. This is a Cessna 152 by the way. It really got me afraid of soloing, and this is not good since I am at the point of doing my 150nm solo x-country. I flew to the wisconsin dells today with my instructor and navigation is no problem. The biggest thing I guess is what to do if something goes wrong ie. Engine failure with no fields to land it, etc. How did everyone else get past that part and not worry about things going wrong all the time?

I am seriously considering a Rav 4. I love everything about it , but I am really conscerned about the off roading ability. What kind of off roading can it handle? Can it climb through ravines and trenches? Can it handle off the road (and off dirt road even) boony hopping? I know it's not a rock climber, but rating it 1 through 5, how would you rate a Rav 4's off roading ability?

Have a 91 Grand Am, taken extremely good care of it, all belts changed in september, new battery last june, while driving last night the wipers, lights, dash lights all got either slow or very very dim, woke up this morning car won't start, won't take a jump, I am thinking alternator, starter, or hopefully(wishful thinking) a fuse. So I used to have my subs on a 2 channel amp bridged and playing at 8 ohms. They sounded great and when I got a new amp it was a mono amp and now they are at 2 ohms. I can't tell a difference in the sound quality. It is deffinatley louder (more watts) and it runs a bit hotter.

My question is, has anyone gone from a 4 ohm system to a 2 ohms system ON SUBS and noticed a major difference in SOUND QUALITY?

I was in an accident earlier this week, the passenger side of the vehicle was hit. I was the passenger. The car I was in was damaged; the accident was no fault of my friend's. It was the other car driver's fault. I didn't go the hospital because I didn't want to miss work. Now I am being told that I waited too long to seek medical attention. At the time of the accident, I was in shock.
Questions, I would like to receive medical treatment, who pays? The other car driver's insurance company or my friend's insurance company?
Should I go to the hospital at this time to seek medical attention or will it be next to impossible to get the claim paid? My neck and shoulder only started hurting a day after the accident. It is now several days later and I have not gotten any sleep since it occured.

I recently got Auto insurance thru Progressive on March 23. And They were supposed to withdraw the money directly from the bank according to the agent. I already have my insurance card saying I have it for 6 months starting from March 23 to September 23. But they have not taken any money at all. And I haven't gotten any notices about not them not getting any payments.

Has anyone else had trouble with progressive Insurance?

I live in the caribean therefore I'm not as priviledge to have driver's ed in school but now I'm to the point where I want my driver's licence and I can't wait any longer. But driver lessons here are $25 an hour and that's pretty steep. I have taken a couple lessons but due to the high cost I would go on and off but now if I dedicate a whole week to it, an hour everyday, is it possible to learn to drive well in that amount of time?
Also any other suggestions are welcomed.
