Trouble with automatic headlights...?

My parents own a 2001 Buick Century and they can't figure out how to turn off the automatic headlight function. Is there a way to turn it off, and if so, what?

On the headlight switch itself doesn't it have a position for auto headlights? If it does,, then turn the switch to the off position and when you want them on turn it to on and not auto on.
