If overdrive is for towing and carrying large loads then why does it make the shift point lower? It should make the shift point higher so it can tow things better right? I don't understand how lowering the shift point is going to be better for towing things if its always in a higher than usual gear. Somebody please explain. BTW 2001 Dodge Ram v6

IM switching from sportbikes to a cruiser. In hopes i wont speed as bad on the cruiser. Im looking at a 02 vulcan 800. Its got 3K miles and the guy only wants $3250. Is this a good bike to start out in cruisers on? What other options do i have in this area? i need some help...

My husband and I are looking for a small SUV for he and I. He is active duty military, so we have my 3 kids half the year, and the other half they are at their dads. I need something small enough for the both of us, yet big enough for when the kids come.
This will be a 3rd car, so I DO NOT WANT a minivan, or anything like that.
Small SUV....the kids are teenagers, and one preteen,so I am sure they will drive their own vehicles.
Does anyone own or know anything about the Kia Sportage??

I would like to "hide" a spare key somewhere on outside of my car in case I should ever accidentally lock the keys inside. It contains a "chip". Is the "chip" necessary to unlock the doors, or is it only needed to activate the ignition?

Or do you recomend useing a professional to install a valve body?The aod trans pack kit said you didn't have to remove trans to install,so i guess it was all through the bottom of trans.looked like there was a gasket for that.

I will be driving pretty soon when I get my car, well truck. I want it to be a pickup so I can put my bike in the back, but Id like a 2-door cab with those small little back seats that 2 other people can fit in...are those extended cabs? Well my school is 22 miles away, and that adds up. I dont want to be playing so much in gas bills. What make/model do you reccomend? Toyota Tacoma perhaps?

I just got the Rockford Fosgate P6001BD amplifier. Every where I look it says one channel, 1 x 300 @ 4 ohm and 1 x 600 @ 2 ohm. I get the amp in and there is 2 channels.... So I assumed that I should just bridge the 2 and viola, it works just fine, but I am still perplexed as to why it has 2 channels but it doesn't have any ratings for the individual channels, it only has ratings for a mono load... if you know why that is please let me know.
