last night on direct.gov.uk I submitted a form to request a d1 form for a provisonal lisence, how long does it take to recieve one? How long does it take to recieve the provisional lisence once you post your application?

I need to know the best (and possibly cheapest) driving schools in the East London area - I want to do possibly an intensive course - maybe around 2 hours (some days more) each weekday. I firstly want a taster 1 hour session before I commit myself!

Is there a chance that before christmas that I could recicve my provisonal lisence and have at least one driving lesson?

I was in a drive thru and a car was 5-6 feet in front of me and all of a sudden came speeding backwards and slammed into my car! My whole front end is messed up! I got my car like a month ago and I know this is wrong but I just haven't had the time to go register it in my name or get insurance... now i'm freaking out because what's gonna happen. When I purchased my car almost a year ago, the dealer offered to pay for my car insuranse with his credit card because my college credit card had not yet been activated. He just said to pay him back as soon as I could because he was a friend of my mom. So I did, but I just got a letter from AAA saying I have to pay $50 to renew my membership. For a whole year I was never billed monthly from AAA but they sent me a card. I have no idea if car insuranse is the same as membership.
