I was in a drive thru and a car was 5-6 feet in front of me and all of a sudden came speeding backwards and slammed into my car! My whole front end is messed up! I got my car like a month ago and I know this is wrong but I just haven't had the time to go register it in my name or get insurance... now i'm freaking out because what's gonna happen. Will they fix my car even if I haven't done these things? Will I get fined? Please someone help me!

If they are determined to be at fault, their insurance will pay for it. However, you're going to take a hit financially; when you go to get insurance, it will be much higher, plus you'll have a fine for driving without insurance.

Consider yourself lucky; where I live, if you're not registered and have no insurance, your car is immediately towed.

Well.... I wouldn't be surprised if the other person turns around and says you rear-ended them, but assuming that doesn't happen you should be able to get paid by the other person's insurance regardless of your status.

I hope you have now registered and insured your vehicle. I know you're going to get a lashing from everyone here because when we find out you aren't insured we usually lecture and such! I've been in auto claims for 16 years and "I was on my way to get insurance when the accident happened" and " I just hadn't yet" , or " I didn't get the cancellation notice, but I haven't moved in 100 years" are very familiar excuses.

Good luck.

First thing i would due is check the drive thru and see if they have a security video. If the backed in to you like that they may be doing an insurance scam there self.

As far as getting your car a month ago, better hope it was under 30 days.

Have fun and you can say you have learned your lesson. code word "it lost or is cost me money"

Help you for being irresponsible? As a car owner you should have MADE the time to take care of your business. A month is PLENTY of time. Suck it up.

if you did not have insurance you will probably have to sue the person because their insurance will probably not cover
