Do I have to accept this offer? The blue book value of my 2000 pontiac grand prix is 8,400 (only 66,000 miles) and my insurance company has offered me 5,400 for the car. The car was totaled. I need to sign the title over to the insurance company, but haven't done that as I feel that is the only leverage I have in this matter. They claim that the car was totaled once before and that is why they reduce the amount to 5,400. I have a clean title and nobody ever indicated that it was totaled out. The car was a great car and I never had a problem with the car. The car looked great and ran great. How do i get my insuranccompany to pay me the fair amount?

I have a 1999 Ford F-150 and I want to lower the front end with drop spindles. I am looking for someone that has done this to this particular truck. What brand of spindles were used? What was the total drop measurement? What "extra" items if any were used? AND was it worth it? Any other info on this project would be much appreciated. Thanks, GeorgiaHyway

Hi, i drive an 84 firebird with the 305 v8. Anyways, when you try to turn it on in the morning the first time it wont turn over but instead the choke light will come on inside, so you kinda have to push the gas a little to get it started and then the engine will bring itself up to about 3000 rpm and then slowly go down and turn off. But my biggest problem is that the car is idleing at about 2000 all the time even while driving you can tell that its very accelerated. But after a short time of driving it around the motor will calm down and it drives perfectly, but i dont what the deal is if theres anybody out there that knows whats wrong please tell me because i really want to get this problem fixed, but ill probably end up taking it to a mechanic anyways. Thanks

I was thinking back to a favorite pair of sunglasses I used to wear while riding. One day, before going for a ride, I washed them. When I put them on, I was shocked by what I saw. The right lens had been shocked, and split into multiple layers, by something I didn't even feel hit them. I could have been blinded, it seems. Now, I wear my regular prescription glasses, which are also rated as safety glasses.

My car has been puttering out on me. It does not do it all the time. Just a few times per week. When the prob occurs I turn on the car then it kind of putters like a cat would purr, then it will cut off if I don't put my foot on the gas quickly. on the highway it will drive fine. Then when I come to a stop it will start the purring then cut out again. Service engine light is on and the codes that come up are mass air flow sensor and egr valve. Could this be causing the problem or is it something else. It does not do it all the time. Some days it will start up and drive just fine. If you need more details to answer question let me know

How low an altitude can some one jump out of an airborne aircraft? An old soldier freind of mine claimed they jumped at under 100ft, During the war. I cant find any records of parachute jumps under 100ft. Are they any?

When I started it up (after it had been sitting for a while in about 32 F temperatures) I noticed a clicking coming from the engine which maybe sounded like lifters, is this a potential problem--and or should i steer clear of this vehicle. The Truck had about 148,000 miles on it--

The check engine light started blinking on my car today as soon as I started it. I also noticed a sputter whenever I would go to use the brake at first, and then it started when I accelerated as well.

My aunt used to work for a service dept and told me it could be fuel related (I did fill up the car today at around 12 n and the car was fine all day until about an hour ago when I started it, she was thinking maybe water in the tank?). It's also about 1000 miles over from needing an oil change (yes, I know, bad me! :-/)

What is going on? I know I have to bring it to a mechanic, and the guys around here are honestly crooks, so I want to be prepared as to what they could say was wrong with the car.

Any help is well appreciated.

I have to move by december 1. I live on Long Island, the South Shore. I have hundreds of Monte Carlo used parts and need to sell them fast. Anyone know of a place to sell them, someone who needs them, or a place online to sell them? eBay and Craigslist are not working for me. I need another avenue, preferable in the Long Island area.
