i own a repair shop, and it cold be one of 20 things that could cause this to happen, first off check it to see if you have fire on it, ,and if it does, see if it has gas getting to it,if so it may have had an electrical part gone out or its possible it isn't getting any gas and the pump or relay has gone bad on it its also possible that it may have jumped timing on it,there's a lot of things it can be ,i hope you find it.

The master tech is right, you should get it checked out - it might be something simple. My daughter had an old Toyota with high miles that "just died" and it turned out to be a loose ground (negative/black cable) on her battery.
When you open the door does any interior light come on? If you aren't getting anything or any glow on the headlights it gould just be loss of ground. If the battery isn't charging it could well be an alternator. That will cost a couple hundred at the shop, but you could run for years once you get it done.
If the engine was/is making loud noises it could be terminal - but that usually doesn't happen in Nissans unless you run them out of oil of overheat them very badly.
