I am buying a new SUV for me and my family, and it has to be able to hold at least 5 people, for my entire family, a GPS system, heated seats, dvd player, tv, leather, and lots of other luxury, for undr 50k. HELP ME PLEASE, THERE ARE SO MANY CHOICES! An it also has to ride high off the ground, and have a great safety rating, especially for the kids.Thanks.

Well I've had my car for about 2 months now (94 Mitsubishi Diamante ES). When I first started opening the car door on the drivers side I found that it was a little difficult. It wasn't smooth, and it felt as if the key was about to break. Eventually it did and I got a copy made. When I unlock the passenger side it's perfectly fine. No stress at all, and it just turns smoothly. For some reason up til today the driver's side door has gotten a lot worse. To the point where I can't turn it anymore. The key even cut me because I was trying to turn it so hard... I'm pretty sure it's not my key.

What's wrong with my key door whole?
How much would it cost to get it repaired.

(Also before it stopped turning completely, it use to make a rusty sound)

I took my car in two months ago to have the clutch replaced. They did the work and everything has been fine. Today, I couldn't get my car into gear, but after messing with it I finally got it to go.

I then took it back into the same shop, and they told me that the slave cylinder and master cylinder will need to be replaced for about $500.

After talking to a mechanic friend of mine, he said it was his shop's policy to check or at least suggest that the slave cylinder be replaced when replacing a clutch due to the stresses it is under from poor pressure to a whole new clutch kit.

Am I on good ground to be pissed that they didn't check or offer to have that replaced when I had my clutch replaced for $1000? Now I'm going to have to pay about $2-300 in labor extra. I don't mind paying for parts, but I already paid for them to take the transmission and get down to the clutch once.

Thanks for any and all help!

I am going to sound really stupid because I know zip about cars, but lately my break light has been on but i was stupid and never checked my break fluid because my break light always comes off and on, and we all figured it was an electric problem. a few months ago my fluid was just fine, so being a nursing student w/ absolutely no time to spare i looked over even rechecking my fluid like an idiot. well, today as i left for clinicals and had 30 miles to drive i noticed my breaks felt really odd. i was having to press way far down before they would stop. i called someone on the cell and we kindof concluded it was just cold and that may effect it. stupidly i went ahead and got on the highway (:( ) and went on to clinicals because i knew my grade is riding on it. well, on down the highway i noticed that even slowing down was hard. by the time i got there, my brakes were definitely not working right! i was having to slow down a half a block before my stop. we found out that my brake fluid is bone dry!! i put more in, but does anyone know how long a person can drive like that before they loose total brake power? i feel really lucky no one else, nor myself got hurt. could anything else have gotten messed up as a result of driving that way? i've had the flu so i came home, went to sleep, and forgot about my horrible day, and haven't had time to ask a mechanic yet. i am wondering about a leak, too. thank you.

One day the brakes on my Jimmy went soft and sank to the floor and then completely gave out. There are no brakes, they are just laying flat on the floor. A New master cylinder was put in three weeks before this happened and no brake line leaks, got the truck bled really well, Still no brakes. What I cant figure out is that I can brake when in reverse but not when the car is in drive. What could be the problem. When I did have the brakes bled i was told that the car would stop in drive but only for a second then out again back and forth like that. Could anyone help??
And why would they stop only in reverse?

I hit a massive pothole in the middle of the night that bent my poor rim.The rim's fixed now but now my steering wheel is off to the left about maybe an inch and a half. I was wondering where would be the best cheapest place to have it fixed? Will it get worse if I leave it alone?

he did'nt ask for my insurance card and did'nt call the police. I gave my name and number, but never admitted fault, (i'm not sure it was my fault) HE said it was his sons car and he thought the damage could be buffed away, but he would have his son contact me. I wish i had gotten his information.
How bad is this going to turn out for me? There really was hardly any noticeable marks to either car.
