I have a 1996 Ford F150 with the 4.9. First symptoms were increasingly rough running starting about 15 minutes into a drive till it bucked to a stop. I checked fuel pressure and am pulling about 55lbs key on and was holding appropriate pressure during idle on both pumps. Last time on the way to a shop, it stopped after only 5 minutes and it hasn't started since. Computer checks okay. I have replaced just about everything from the crank senor to the IAC. The last time it choked on my I noticed at the very rough idle, the exhaust manifold near where it enters the car was red hot (after 5 minutes). The cat was trashed and that has been replaced. Still won't start. The only things I haven’t replaced are the two fuel pumps and the fuel pressure regulator. Is there a test for the fuel pressure regulator that can be performed on the bench? Any clues before I send this to target practice. Thanks!

I have a 1995 Toyota Landcruiser 4x4. Every time I come to a complete stop on a red light or a stop sign and after releasing the brake there is this noise I think comes from the differential. If I come to complete stop and press the gas immediately the noise is even louder, it sounds like its a little loose and grips. What you think cuses this? What is this? How can I fix it before it gets worse?

I have a 98 prelude.. It idles fine but when the car warms up and you drive for about 10-20 min then when you stop at a stop light for more then a min. the motor wll almost shut off but then go back to normal right away.. this only happens when i stop for more then one min. and it only happens once every stop that's more then a min.

I don't think it's the fuel pump.. it does it regardless if the tank is full or not.. Actually I was thinking about the TPS but as another issue.. ( when accelerating in 2nd gear the car seems to sputter a bit) will disconnecting the TPS help me figure it out..?

In the summer I was driving down a country road and there was no sign saying what speed i should be doing so i was driving to the condition of the road. All of a sudden a bright sign started flashing saying slow down and it told me the speed limit.
It made me really embarrased and I did not know where to kide my self. Do you think these are more effective than speed cameras, do they slow you down?
