the ground for the light assembly is not working correctly it is either not connected or corroded if you hit your brakes the running lights will come on but not your headlights

have you checked the fuses- might be separate for each signal light. Was there any wiring recently done to the truck? If so check & make sure they didn't forget to hook up the wire (or that they did it correctly- that's been a notorious happenstance for us).
Other than that, Red, I'm not sure & my mechanics not here. Good luck.

Check the signal stat. we have had the same problems with some of our freightshakers.

what type of freightshaker you got sounds to be a bad ground or turn signal switch

it could be a short in the wireing,check your fuses first if its not that it could be a short,could be that one sorce of energy is taking from the other.
