I have 95 Toyota Corolla that is leaking oil fast. The leak is at the front of the car. What could be the possible probelm? Head gasket? and if so what would a mechanic charge to fix? Anything would be helpful in diagnosing the probelm and having an idea how much it going to cost to fix. Thanks

This is a two part question:

I live in New York and as you know we have a transit system. Maybe some NYers are able to answer this question better than others but do you think it's a burden to not have a car in NY? Also, I have a 2005 Nissan Altima with 11,150 miles. It is a burden on me financially. Is it possible to return it and if so, what are the penalties? What are my options for getting rid of it?

I have a R Reg C200 automatic, with around 105,000 miles on the clock.
It is regularlry serviced. Over the last 2 months I have started hearing a strange humming/whining noise when driving. It seems to be at its worse at around 70 mph. It also seems to be very apparent when slowing down to a stop. I know it is not the bearings as I had these replaced and did not make the remotest impact on the noise.
Any idea what it can be?

I have found many links on the web, but there are few that work. There must be a directory of sellers/cars that are for sale. Any thought?

Engine can be hot or cold. Sometimes the rpm's drop to 500 or less when I stop -but not every time. The car will shake abit and die. Often then, it will not crank up unless I mash the gas pedal. It has fuel injectors. The car cranks and runs fine normally. Just occaisionally, not all the time, will idle real slow when I stop, then die. It 'seems' to me that something cuts the gas off. I do not think it is the filter-it runs too good. Any ideas? thanks

Which is better as I have been informed that the type 'A' is more aggressive than type 'B', but the type 'B' feels like it pulls around corners better, type 'A' is fitted to Rover Tomcat Turbo's and Type 'B' is fitted to Rover 200 BRM.

Ok I tried to start my car yesterday, it was very misty, maybe that matters, but at first it would give me a clicking noise and it wont start, I went to my house came back an hour later to jumostart it, and there was no power, even when trying to jumo start it?

Also I dont know if it matters, but I always have a really hard time getting my key to get into the ignition, once its there the car will start easily, but I always have to mess around with it, in order to get to ignition.

What can I tell a mechanic I need?
