I notice that Boeing 747-400's are being used less on certain trans-Atlantic, and some trans-Pacific routes...nowadays it seems to be more of a mix of twin-engine aircraft, MD-11s and some 747-400s on the transatlantic runs.. they even use twin-engine jets like the 777 on some long-haul trans-pacific routes...what are some of the reasons for this?

It is the Drivers side flip forward seat that allows access to the back seat for passengers in the extended cab. I need to replace the whole seat, since the bolts have broken that hold it up.

I live in Oregon (winter's on it's way) and am thinking about getting a motorcycle. I grew up around them, so I'm not an idiot, and definitely plan on taking a rider's course once I decide, but I need help looking at different makes and models. Any advice out there?

Based on your experience, what are some makes/models that will be reliable? I'm already comfortable with Honda and Toyota - anybody like a different brand?

4-Car is very good on gas on highway for its size/weight, but *very crappy* in congested city driving (Boston).

5-It is strong running and smooth idling. When I first acquired it, over the noise of other motorists I thought it stalled on me in traffic, except it was still running - that's how smooth it is. And that was before its first tune-up.

Is there any correlation here? For the life of me, I can't explain the disparity in fuel economy nor the intermittent o2 sensor warnings. The repair garage that overcharged me for the exhaust work wanted to replace ALL FOUR O2 sensors as a remedy for the OBD-II warnings. Before I do that, I wonder if I can kill two birds with one stone by taking a more logical course of action.

I wonder if exhaust is being leaked somewhere forward of the converter. If so, could it explain the audible observation I mentioned in addition to poor mileage/specific OBD-II codes?

I know that there are alot of variables. Sorry for that and thanks for suggestions.

Vehicle: 1998 Mercury Mountaineer AWD 5.0L 8cyl, 116,000 mi. In my possession only for a few months. Previous owner cannot be reached (overseas).

1-For about the first 5 minutes, exhaust condensation is visible in the evening air when other cars' exhaust is invisible in ambient air (~55 F). Exhaust is pale white in color, almost like steam. There is water discharged from the tail pipe the moment the car is started.

2-OBD-II P0133 [O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1)] & P0430 [Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)] intermittently. Most of the time I get one or the other, but not both. Usually I only get these under moderate throttle load while going uphill.

note: I thought it was due to a hole in the exhaust line so I had the pipe, muffler, and resonator replaced.

3-Under hard acceleration, I can "hear" the motor as if there is sound being leaked somewhere. This sound is separate and distinguishable from the motor signature from the motor compartment.

I'm about to turn 16, and I love both of this cars. I would get an '05 -'06, cause I don't quite like the '07s. I'm wondering whether I want to get a tahoe z71 or yukon denali. I know the denali is nicer, but I really like the z71 too. You have to consider the suspension in the z71 because it's got the special drive package. I don't think they are that different on the inside. I would get navigation and headrest tv's on either, but i'm torn.

And no one say escalade, cause I don't like those.

My mother wants me to use a car that has PA plates on it and she is still paying for it. I live in ohio and would get ohio insurance on it. The problem is that in order to get ohio plates my name would have to be on the loan and the financial company won't let it be added without re-financing. Does anyone know if you can get pulled over just by having plates from another state and insurance in another? If so what would the penalty be?
Thanks in advance!

Obviously, I refused to play chicken (60mph zone) and braked to a near stop . but it took quite a while for lorry & car to sort out their differences,it looked like they were going to just race on side by side all the way down the hill!
My question is,How often does this sort of thing happen? When/why is it that drivers decide it's better to risk death than sit behind this lorry/tractor one second longer?
And why do people take offence at being overtaken and speed-up refusing to let the overtaker back in?
(Especially as most modern lorries etc go very fast and tractor drivers nearly always pull over to let a queue past.)
