Ok I tried to start my car yesterday, it was very misty, maybe that matters, but at first it would give me a clicking noise and it wont start, I went to my house came back an hour later to jumostart it, and there was no power, even when trying to jumo start it?

Also I dont know if it matters, but I always have a really hard time getting my key to get into the ignition, once its there the car will start easily, but I always have to mess around with it, in order to get to ignition.

What can I tell a mechanic I need?

1) Check the battery terminal connections, make sure they are tight.
2) Is the battery dead? Cannot charge a dead battery. Have local parts store check it. If ok, check alternator.
3) check connection to starter. Positive battery cable needs to be tight on starter.
4) Stick shift can sometimes be pushed a couple of feet and then started. Sometimes the starter locks up.
5) If issues with key, you might need ignition switch. this will prevent your car from starting.
Good Luck!

it is hard to diagnose an electrical system in anything just by someone telling you what is wrong. It is better to have a mechanic look or diagnose the problem.
But, yes, it maybe the battery, or maybe the starter, or the ignition switch. You will be spending alot of money and time replacing the wrong items.
If it is within the ignition, there is alot that could be wrong also.
It is also better to state the type of vehicle, year, and how many miles you have on the vehicle. Fuel injection or carb., and so forth.

Could be a really bad battery connection. Check your terminals to make sure they are clean. Leave the jumpstart on it for 5-10 minutes in case your battery is really flat. if you've got a cheap set of jumper cables a lot of the time they can't push enough amperage through them to start the car. Also your starter could be bad. If all else fails try pulling it and get it checked.
